Who will win Toronto Nationals vs Montreal Tigers, Global T20 Canada 2019?
Montreal Tigers can seal a play-off place when they meet Toronto Nationals at Brampton’s CAA Centre in the Global T20 Canada 2019. The match takes place on August 4 and starts at 16:30 local time.
This is the final game of the first phase of group-stage fixtures – though there is one further round of fixtures to come before the play-offs. If Montreal win, they will be guaranteed a play-off place with a game to spare. They won their most recent match to bounce back to form after a chastening couple of games before that.
Toronto, on the other hand, have won just once in four games so far. They lost to Brampton last time out and know anything less than a win will end their top-four ambitions for a second consecutive year.

The first phase of league fixtures is set to conclude in clear, warm and sunny conditions in Brampton.
TTN vs MNT Pitch Condition
The Montreal Tigers’ bowlers have learned the hard way just how much the Brampton wicket favours the batsmen. Few bowling teams have suffered to the same extent as the Tigers, but there is no question this a great deck for batting on.

Toronto Nationals Team News & Playing 11
TNT Team News
Sandeep Lamichhane made his first appearance of the tournament last time out and took his first wicket, having previously been away with Nepal. Kieron Pollard is in the West Indies squad, with Moises Henriques replacing him. Brendon McCullum was back at the top of the order last time out too. Toronto have been happy to change their bowling attack, meanwhile, but are yet to settle on a winning unit.
TNT Key Players
Yuvraj Singh: The Indian icon and veteran captain has been getting better and better as this tournament goes on. His last three innings have brought 35, 45 and now 51 runs. He also picked up a wicket in each of the last two matches too.
Heinrich Klaasen: A few useful starts have showed what the South African wicket-keeper-batsman is capable of. He scored 35 last time out, to add to a pair of scores in the 40s in the first two games.
Rodrigo Thomas: One of the stand-out home players at this tournament, the Canada international opener hit 65 against Winnipeg, while he scored 41 in the first game and 28 last time out.
TNT Team Form
Toronto Nationals have only won one of their four matches so far, including defeats in the last two despite scoring in excess of 200 on both occasions.
Rodrigo Thomas’ 65 from 46 balls helped them to 216/7 against Winnipeg, but they lost by three wickets off the final ball. That prompted a bowling shuffle last time out, only for them to concede 222/6 against Brampton and finish on 211/7.
Toronto Nationals Predicted Playing 11
Rodrigo Thomas, Brendon McCullum, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Yuvraj Singh (c), Moises Henriques, Chris Green, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mark Montfort, Salman Nazar, Jeremy Gordon, Sandeep Lamichhane
Montreal Tigers Team News & Playing 11
MNT Team News
With Sunil Narine away with the West Indies, Fawad Ahmed came back into the team from the side that was punished so badly with the ball against Vancouver. After a fortunate point, however, they also replaced Sean Abbott with Scott Kuggeleijn – Abbott has come in for a lot of punishment. Mohammad Naveed, their most expensive bowler last time out, is now with the UAE in the Netherlands. That could mean a first appearance for Isuru Udana after Sri Lanka’s series against Bangladesh was wrapped up.
MNT Key Players
Kyle Coetzer: More like his old self as he smashed four sixes and hit five fours as he hit 62 at the top of the order last time out.
Dillon Heyliger: Took a brilliant 3-14 from four overs, including one maiden, last time out and then smashed a four and a six from the only two balls he faced to power Montreal to victory in the final over.
Fawad Ahmed: Brought back last time out to replace West Indies-bound Sunil Narine and claimed 2-19 with the ball in a display of tidy spin bowling.
MNT Team Form
Montreal Tigers bounced back well last time out, against Edmonton Royals, to get back to winning ways.
They were humbled by Brampton Wolves and looked likely to be again by Vancouver Knights in their two previous games of Global Canada T20 2019. The Wolves bowled them out for 101 and beat them by ten wickets in 40 balls, before Vancouver blasted 276/3 in the next game.
Rain saved Montreal, however, and they took full advantage of their reprieve when they followed it up with a win in their next game – chasing 154 to beat Edmonton by four wickets thanks to some big hitting in the final over.
Montreal Tigers Predicted Playing 11
Kyle Coetzer, Ruvindu Gunasekera, Anton Devcich, George Bailey, Dinesh Chandimal, Matthew Cross, Scott Kuggeleijn, Dillon Heyliger, Nikhil Dutta, Fawad Ahmed, Isuru Udana
