Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana were the two best teams of the league stages. Trinidad are going in the final as undefeated while Guyana’s only loss came against the same opposition. However, they are coming back from a dominating performance over Windward Island. Shimron Hetmyer stroked a magnificent century and the timing couldn’t have been better. Guyana would love to see him play another such knock in the final. However, we feel that they are too dependent on Shimron Hetmyer as other batsmen haven’t done too well in the tournament. They have played odd good innings but haven’t backed it up. The bowling is also on the weaker side.

Trinidad and Tobago are laced with top quality players and the way they have performed in the tournament makes them favourites in this match. Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Darren Bravo, Jason Mohammed, Nicolas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, all have batted exceptionally well. The batting looks too strong. Sunil Narine, Ravi Rampaul, Akeal Hosein have complimented them well in the bowling.
