After a totally dominant league phase, unbeaten table-toppers Trinbago Knight Riders take on Jamaica Tallawahs in the first semi-final of the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. The match takes place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba, on September 8 and the live action starts at 10:00 local time.
Trinbago Knight Riders won all ten matches in the league phase, signing off in style by bowling St Kitts & Nevis Patriots out for 77 on their way to a nine-wicket win. Fawad Ahmed was their bowling star with 4-21 in that win, whereas previous victories were built around excellent batting.
Jamaica Tallawahs only won three times by contrast and lost their three completed games too. Glenn Phillips starred with the bat and Andre Russell has made a big batting impact, but they could not chase 146 to beat St Lucia last time out.
