Titans are favorites to win
With the rain continuing to severely impact on the last edition of the CSA T20 Challenge, Titans and Knights will hope to beat the weather for their scheduled game at SuperSport Park, Centurion. The match is scheduled for April 26 and the live action begins at 18:00 local time.
TV channels: SuperSport, Sony Six, Sky Sports
Live streaming: SuperSport Live
Titans have elected to field first when they have won the toss – they lost after being asked to bat first in their most recent game.
Read on for team previews, betting tips, latest odds and match prediction for Titans vs Knights, CSA T20 Challenge.
Diego Rosier returned to the team ahead of Jonathan Vandiar last time out, despite Vandiar’s good form in his absence in the previous completed match. Titans have been fairly consistent with their line-up in CSA T20 Challenge 2019 season, however, and could be unchanged despite defeat.
Theunis de Bruyn’s good batting form continued last time out despite the defeat to Cape Cobras. His 37-ball 50 took him to 303 runs in six innings, including three half-centuries – more than any other batsman in this year’s competition.
Tony de Zorzi was their top scorer, however, with 70 from 47 balls to recapture his best form and more than double his run tally so far in this season’s tournament.
Diego Rosier is their second-top run scorer overall despite only batting in four innings – his consistency has seen him post 160 runs and with a decent strike rate too.
With the ball, meanwhile, Junior Dala claimed three wickets despite defeat to the Cape Cobras and now has eight wickets for the tournament – double what any of his team-mates have managed.
Titans have won two of their five completed matches so far and fell to defeat last time out as they failed to back-up their dominant eight-wicket win against Dolphins.
They scored 191/2 in 18.5 overs in an eight-wicket win in that game but, batting first against Cape Cobras, half-centuries from Tony de Zorzi (70) and Theunis de Bruyn (50) in a total of 182/3 could not prevent a three-wicket loss.

The weather has ravaged Knights’ fixture list this season – they have not played since a five-run defeat to Cape Cobras more than a week ago. The team for that game, which pushed Cape Cobras so close, could be the same team that faced Titans if they finally get back on the pitch.
With no time in the middle since their defeat to Cape Cobras, as a result of their three abandoned matches, it is hard to gauge Knights’ form.
Patrick Kruger scored a half-century in that game as they posted some shoots of recovery – the team’s first 50 so far in this year’s tournament – while Ryan McLaren was in decent all-round form at the end of the Momentum One Day Cup and has bowled well so far.
McLaren has taken five wickets with an economy rate of 7.07 runs per over, while Shadley van Schalkwyk and Ottniel Baartman have four wickets apiece. Van Schalkwyk has a good economy rate of 6.86 runs per over too.
Knights’ last three games have been abandoned but, when they have had completed matches, they have lost them all. The most recent of their three completed games was a narrow five-run defeat to Cape Cobras – chasing 151 to win after Ryan McLaren took 2-30, Patrick Kruger hit 57 from 38 balls as Knights finished just short on 145/7.

This year’s previous meeting was curtailed without a result, which means Titans have still won 14 of their 24 previous matches with Knights compared to the latter’s eight wins.
Titans have dominated this fixture in more recent times, winning twice last season and twice the season before too. Last season’s matches included half-centuries from Henry Davids and Aiden Markram in a total of 199/4 in a 38-run win and Ferhaan Behardien’s 56 not out as Titans chased 134 to win the second game by five wickets with a ball to spare.
With a dominant recent record in this fixture, Titans are 1.44 favourites to beat Knights with Bet365 and Betway.
The winless Knights are 2.75 to win with Bet365 and 2.62 with Betway.
Dolphins’ bowling is strong while Titans boast some big hitters at the top of their batting order. If Andile Phehlukwayo and Robbie Frylinck hit top form, Dolphins can come away with a win.
