THAI Women Team News & Playing 11
THAIW Team News
Thailand have fielded the same 11 in every game so far – the same 11 that also travelled to the Netherlands for the Quadrangular Series. None of the additional call-ups – Rosenan Kanoh, Phannita Maya and Arriya Yenyueak – have featured and that seems unlikely to change.
THAIW Key Players
Nattakan Chantam: Led the Thai batting charts in the Netherlands and came through the group stage as their highest runscorer too – including an unbeaten 44 in the opening game against the Dutch.
Chanida Sutthiruang: Excelled with the ball during the group stage, with figures of 3-5, 4-13 and 3-14 from the three matches with her medium-pace bowling. She has ten wickets in total and an economy rate of 3.42.
Nattaya Boochatham: Yet to find her best form with the bat, but she has taken four wickets to follow up the nine she took in the Netherlands.
THAIW Team Form
Thailand’s rise up the world rankings has continued with three wins from three in the group stage of this qualifier. They scored 76/0 from nine overs in a rain-reduced game against the Netherlands, before they bowled Namibia out for 61 in a 38-run win next up.
They finished the group stage by posting 92/7 against Ireland from 17 overs, but Chanida Sutthiruang’s 3-14 ensured they claimed a two-run win.

PNGW Key Players
Sibona Jimmy: Excellent with the ball, taking 2-16, 3-10 and 3-15 in the three matches, and she also hit an unbeaten 58 from 50 balls with the bat last time out too.
Brenda Tau: Scored 60 runs in the group stage and also claimed three catches and two stumpings as wicket-keeper. The left-handed batsmen is a good presence in the upper middle order.

PNGW Team Form
Papua New Guinea restricted hosts Scotland to 101/5 in their opening game as they claimed a five-wicket win which made a real statement. They nearly surprised Bangladesh next up too, after restring them to 103/8 from 16.3 overs, but rain meant a revised target of 59 to win in eight overs and they could only reach 52/5.
Last time out, however, Sibona Jimmy hit 58* in a total of 133/3 and then claimed 3-15 as they restricted the USA to 94/7 from 17 overs in reply – well short of the revised target.
