Sydney Thunder women vs Sydney Sixer women, WBBL 2020
Sydney Thunder women will take on Melbourne Renegades women in the 44th game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 7:05PM local time
Sydney Thunder halted their losing streak with an cracking 8 wicket victory over Melbourne Renegades, keeping their hopes alive for the semi finals.Thunder got rid of their batting vows in the last match as all their top order batsmen scored runs for their team. Tammy Beaumont, Rachel Trenaman, Heather Knight and Rachael Haynes, all looked really good. It’s a great sign and Thunders will be hoping that they can continue their form. In the bowling department, Samantha Bates and Hannah Darlington bowled well in the last game and Thunders will be expecting a similar sort of performance with the ball. Shabnim Ismail and Sammy jo Johnson too have played the supporting role to perfection.
Sydney Sixers on the other hand have now lost 5 back to back matches and are on the verge of getting knocked out. The problem of Sixers downfall has been their batting, that’s completely lost their touch. Even though Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry are in top form, they are not getting the support from the rest of the batsmen. They need to deliver a collective performance with the bat against Sydney Thunder if they are to get back to winning ways. In Ellyse Perry, Marizanne Kapp, they have two top class bowlers and Dane Van Neikerk, Stella Campbell and Erin burs have supported them well. Only if they can start scoring runs, they’ll be very hard to beat.
