Sydney Thunder women vs Melbourne Renegades women, WBBL 2020
Sydney Thunder women will take on Melbourne Renegades women in the 44th game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 7:05PM local time
Just like Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder too looks to have lost their momentum. They’re coming back from three consecutive losses and desperately need a win to revive their tournament. Melbourne Renegades on the other hand pulled off an upset win against Melbourne Stars that will induce a little bit of confidence in them. For Thunders, their batting has failed miserably in the last few games. Apart from odd performances from Rachael Haynes and Heather Knight, none of the batsmen have put their hands up. In the bowling department, Samantha Bates and Hannah Darlington bowled well in the last game and Thunders will be expecting a similar sort of performance with the ball. Lauren Smith and Heather Knight too have played the supporting role to perfection.
Thunders will be happy that their next match is against the weakest team of the tournament. A win against them might get their form back. For Melbourne Renegades , there's not much to talk about. There were a lot of expectations from Lizze Lee and Sophie Molinuex but both have been pretty disappointing. Courtney Webb played a match winning knock in the last game and Renegades will be hoping that she can come up with another big performance. Just like their batting, Melbourne Renegade’s bowling has been equally disappointing. Molly Strano, Leeeson, Makinley Blows and Ella Hayward need to deliver exceptional performances to trouble Sydney Thunder.
