Sydney Thunder will look to build on their excellent chase against Brisbane Heat last time out as they look for a second win of the 2020-21 Big Bash League season. The two teams meet at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on December 22 and the live action starts at 19:15 local time.

The Thunder lost their opening game, reaching just 147/9 in reply to Melbourne Stars’ 169/8. They recovered in style last time out, however, as Daniel Sams smashed 65* from 25 balls to get them over the line, chasing 179 to win in just 18.5 overs to beat Brisbane Heat by four wickets.

Perth Scorchers, meanwhile, struggled to 130 all out in their opening loss to Melbourne Renegades but had showed improvement in hitting 158/6 in 17 overs. Rain ruined the reply, however, to ensure the game finished as a no result extending their Big Bash winless streak to four matches.
