Our Pick Melbourne Stars are favourites to win
A high flying Sydney Thunders will take on Melbourne Stars in the 19th match of the BBL 2020. The match will be played on the Manuka Oval and is scheduled to get underway at 7:15 PM local time.
Sydney Thunder put up a stellar show against Melbourne Renegades in their last game to pocket a massive 129 run victory. They now have three wins in three games and are looking at the top of their form. They’re up against Melbourne Stars who’re placed 5th but a win in the next game will get them to the helm of the points table.
Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Cullum Ferguson, Daniel Sams, Olivier Daviies, their is so much quality in this thunder batting line up and they certainly are living up to the expectations. The all rounders like Ben Cutting, Chris Green, Daniel Sams provide a lot of depth in this team.
The bowling is also performing exceptially well with Adam Milne, Daniel Sams, Tanvir Sangha in terrefic form. Nathan NcAndrew and Chris Green balances this attck. Overall, they look a very strong team but getting past Melbourne Stars won’t be easy.
Melbourne Stars lost a nail biter to Sydney Sixers which has pushed them out of the top 4 in the points table. However, the gap is almost negligible and a win will once against get them at the top of the table.
Nicolas Pooran and Glenn Maxwell were scintillating in the last match and Stars would hope that they can carry on their form against the Thunders. Andre Fletcher, Ben Dunk, Nick Larkin and Hilton Cartwright make them a batting heavy team. Also, Billy Stanlake, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Liam Hatcher, Adam Zampa, Zahir Khan forms one of the best bowling line up in the tournament.
Overall, both teams are pretty similar in terms of quality but we see Melbourne Stars as a slightly more balanced team than Sydney Thunders. No doubt the match could go either way Melbourne Stars are slight favourites for us.

It’s always a good thing to put big runs on the board. The pitch might get little slower in the second innings thus captains might look to bat first.
The Pitch is a brilliant wicket to bat and we might see another high scoring encounter between two magnificent teams.
The weather looks promising with no chances of rain. The temperature will also be very pleasant in and around the 20’s

Sam Billings and Jason Sangha have been added to the 19 member squad for Thunder’s clash against Melbourne Stars. Thunders are flying high after three consecutive wins thus we doubt they’d like to make any change in this all important clash.
Sydney Thunders are have been in scintillating form in the tournament. They stated their tournament with a loss to Melbourne Stars but have been very impressive since then, winning back to back against Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades.
Alex Hales, Usman Khawaja, Callum Ferguson (c), Oliver Davies, Baxter Holt (wk), Ben Cutting, Daniel Sams, Chris Green, Nathan McAndrew, Adam Milne, Tanveer Sangha
Marcus Stoinis and Nic Maddinson missed Stars previous match but will rejoin the squad ahead of their clash with Sydney Thunders. Stoinis was granted leave to spend time with his family while failed to reach Queensland due to travel restriction.
Melbourne Stars have been slightly unlucky in the tournament. They could have eaily won all of their four matches but a washout against Pert Scorchers and a close loss to Sixers have pegged them back to 5th in the points table.
Marcus Stoinis, Andre Fletcher, Hilton Cartwright, Glenn Maxwell (c), Nicholas Pooran (wk), Nic Maddinson, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Adam Zampa, Liam Hatcher, Billy Stanlake, Zahir Khan

Both teams are pretty solid and are in some great form. There is very little to choose between the two teams but we see Melbourne Stars as a better balanced team. The return of Mrcus Stoinis will also be a big boost for the Stars.
Wicket Keeper
Nicolar Pooran at 9.5 is our preferred pick. He smashed a brilliant 65 off 26 ball and is in good form.
Batsmen
Alex Hales at 10, Cullum Ferguson at 9.0, and Hilton Cartwrite at 8.5 form a strong batting line up. Alex Hales and Usman Khwaja have been batting pretty well and can be backed to play a big knock. Hilton Cartwright will be back for this match and is a top class batsmen who’s been in some terrific form of late.
All rounder
Glen Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis at 10 and 10.5 can be backed from this section. Both Maxwell and Stoinis have been decent with bat. Maxwell is fresh from a brutal 50 in the last match while Stoinis will look to get a solid start after the break.
Bowlers
Adam Zampa, Nathan Coulter-Nile Tanvir Sangha and Liam Hatcher at 9.0, 8.5, 8.0 and 8.0 will complete a strong team. Coulter Nile and Zampa have sone a great job for the Stars while Sangha was exceptional in the last match with 4 wickets. Liam Hatcher is also a very good bowler
Captain /Vice Captain
Glen Maxwell is our preferred pick for captain while Daniel Sams can be selected as his deputy.
