Sydney Sixers Women vs Brisbane Heat Women, WBBL 2020
Sydney Sixers women will take on Brisbane Heat women in the 43rdst game of the women’s Big Bash League. The match will be played on the Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney and is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM local time
After 4 consecutive losses, Sydney Sixers are sliding down the hill big time. With 4 wins and as many losses, they’re currently placed at the 4th spot in the points table and loss can get their campaign into jeopardy. They’re up against Brisbane Heat who look to have found their mojo back after three back to back wins. The problem of Sixers downfall has been their batting that’s completely lost their touch. In the last match SIxers required a paltry 121 for a win but they could only manage 105-9 in the 20 overs. They need to find their form as soon as possible and it’s a very stiff competition between the teams for a semi-final spot. Ellyse Perry has been in good form but hasn’t quite delivered consistently. Alyssa Healy on the other hand have not scored much in the last 4 games. Marizanne Kapp has been the most consistent batsman but will need a good start from the openers to consolidate. Sixers bowling was never an issue.
In Ellyse Perry, Marizanne Kapp, they have two top class bowlers and Dane Van Neikerk, Stella Campbell and Erin burs have supported them well. Brisbane Heat on the other hand have been terrific in the last few games. The promotion of Grace Harris at the top has been a stellar move. She along with Georgia Redmayne has been very confident and have given Heat blistering stars. Even though their middle order hasn’t been in the best of form, players like Georgia Voll, Maddy Green, Jess Jonassen and Amelia Kerr are match winners on their own. Brisbane's change in fortunes are a result of some top class bowling. Delissa Kimmince and Nicola Hancock were the stars of the previous match while Jess Jonassen, Grace Harris and Amelia Kerr have been consistent throughout the tournament. While both teams have some issues to deal with, Brisbane Heat look to rectify most of their errors in the previous few games. They are our favourites for this match.
