Our Pick Sydney Sixers are favourites to win
Melbourne Renegades put up an exceptional bowling performance against Perth Scorchers but Sydney Sixers will pose a different challenge all together.
Sydney Sixers will be disappointed that they couldn't win their previous match against Hobart Hurricanes.
Chasing a target of 179, Sixers looked in command after a 116 run partnership between Jack Edward and James Vince for the second wicket. With 60 to get in 6 overs with 8 wickets in hand, Sixers should have won the game but couldn’t.
On paper, Sydney has a decent batting line up in Josh Phillippe, Jack Edward, Daniel Hughes, James Vince, Jordan Silk, Daniel Christian but they'll need to learn the art of getting the better of the opposition in crunch situations. You cannot win matches on back of a couple of performances. All these batsmen are pretty experienced and we're sure that they'll get better in the next match.
Coming to the bowling, Ben Dwarshuis, as expected emerged as their best bowler. Ben Manenti, Daniel Christian and Carlos Brathwaite also bowled well.
Melbourne Renegades will be over the moon after their last game. A quality bowling performance backed by a solid batting effort, Renegades had a perfect game the other day. But Sydney Sixers are a wounded lion and will come hard at them.
Renegades bowling is looking really good with Josh Laylor, Kane Richardson and Peter Hatzoglou in terrific form. A quality set of all rounders in Beau Webster and Benny Howell also make their team look immaculately balanced.
If their bowling was good against Perth, their batting was even better with Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh getting decent scores. Other batsmen didn’t get enough chance but they’ll be eager to deliver when required.
Overall, both teams look good at the moment but Sydney has a little more depth and are the favourites to win the match.

Toss could go either way. Captain that wins the toss would look to put runs on the board.
The weather will be slightly cloudy but it's nothing to worry about as there are no predictions for the rain.
It's a good wicket to bat on but will offer something to the bowlers with the new ball.

Sydney Sixers suffered a big loss in their opening game while Melbourne Renegades thrashed Perth Scorchers in the last match. Both teams look pretty decent on paper but Sixers look a lot more balance with enough depth in their batting. The bowling looks a little weak in comparison to Melbourne Renegades but they're good enough to trouble the Renegades batsmen.
Wicket Keeper
Josh Phillippe at 9.5 is a wonderful selection. He missed out in the first match but was terrific in the warm up game played earlier. He's is expected to get back among the runs in the next match.
