Sussex lost their last match to Glamorgan by 46 runs and have slipped down to the fifth spot on the points table. Hampshire too faced defeat at the hands of Essex last week and are placed at the bottom of the table with just one win in ten games. They will be playing Glamorgan tonight before taking on Sussex on the 15th of July at the County Ground in Hove. This South Group fixture is scheduled to begin at 7 PM local time.

The opening pair of Chris Nash and skipper Luke Wright along with Ross Taylor are going to be the key batsmen in their lineup. Taylor has hit three fifties so far and is among the tournament's top 5 batsmen. He, thus, will be expected to score the most runs against Hampshire.
Tymal Mills and Ajmal Shahzad have been the best of the bowlers for Sussex. They have taken 11 and 10 wickets respectively and the left-arm right-arm pace combination can create a few problems for the Hampshire batsmen. Nuwan Kulasekara has picked up 7 wickets in his three matches and going by his current performance, he should be backed for a top-bowler bet.

Michael Carberry and James Vince will be opening the batting for Hampshire. The latter is their recently appointed skipper who made 62 against Essex last week and 51 in the final ODI against Sri Lanka while playing for England. Hampshire will be relying mainly on Vince at the top and Dawson and Ervine in the middle order.
Liam Dawson and Gareth Andrew have been the standout bowlers for their team. So far, they have taken nine and eight wickets apiece this season aside from claiming two wickets each against Essex. Dawson has picked up five wickets in the last couple of matches and he can be very effective on Friday if he is able to get some turn of the pitch.

Their first game at Southampton in this year's Natwest T20 Blast was washed out. Head-to-head, Hampshire have a good record over Sussex with three wins in four fixtures. They have also beaten the hosts at the Hove both the times, which could give them an edge when the two sides meet again at this venue on Friday. But where Hampshire have done well against Sussex in the past, their performance in this ongoing tournament isn't coming off as they would have liked. So far, they have managed to win only one of their ten games and have lost six on the trot.
Sussex are faring better at the moment and appear to be the stronger of the two teams. We, therefore, back the hosts to win this match.
