Top-order batsmen have done well this year and they will once again be the key in this final game of the tournament. With an aggregate of 528 runs and averaging 66 with two hundreds and three fifties, Sam Hain is right at the top of the the runs list. He has been Warwickshire's best batsman and has a strong chance of top-scoring in the final. Skipper Ian Bell had a big score of 94 not-out in the semi-final and the team will want him to contribute one final time in this season. Jonathan Trott is also among the top 10 batsmen and if he too gets going, Warwickshire should comfortably reach the predicted score.

Surrey will be depending on Jade Dernbach, Stuart Meaker and Gareth Batty to take wickets and hold off the attack from Warwickshire. All three of them are featuring in the list of top 10 bowlers with Meaker as their leading wicket-taker with 16 wickets. Tom Curran took 3 for 26 in four overs at this ground in their group game against Middlesex this year, and he can also do well here. If Surrey remove Hain and Trott early on, Warwickshire could be restricted below 260.

Neither of the two teams has ever won the finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup. While Warwickshire lost the finals in 2014, Surrey finished as runners-up last year. Neither has an edge over the other as far as overall performance is concerned. Warwickshire have 15 wins and 10 defeats in their 25 games while Surrey too have the same number of wins and defeats (plus one tie) from their 26 games. Both share a similar story at the Lord's. Warwickshire has played two, won one and lost one while Surrey has played three, won one and lost two.

Head-to-head record is where Warwickshire could have a slight edge as they have thrashed Surrey in their only match-up in 2014. However, they haven't had a game at this ground since the 2014 final whereas Surrey got to play a match here this year and they ended up being on the winning side. Now this could give Surrey a slight advantage as they will be more familiar with the ground conditions and will need less time to adapt.

Both teams have been neck-and-neck so far and there are big names and in-form players in either side which leaves very little to differentiate between the two. We, however, predict Warwickshire to win the Royal London One-Day Cup 2016. But write off Surrey only at your own risk.
