Toss Prediction
The wicket at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, in recent times, has tended to become relatively better for batting during the second period of play. Moreover, four of the past five CPL matches played at this ground have been won by the side fielding first. So the toss-winning captain may be tempted to bowl first.

St Lucia Stars Team News & Playing 11
STS Team News
St Lucia Stars brought back Kesrick Williams to replace Odean Smith in the last match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and the fast bowler is likely to feature in the starting eleven for this match as well. There were no injuries in the team at the time of writing and we expect the Stars to come up with the same line-up from last time.
STS Key Players
David Warner, Andre Fletcher and Kieron Pollard are the pillars of St Lucia Stars' batting. Skipper Pollard is leading from the front. He is the season's second-highest run-getter with 243 runs and can be very difficult to contain once he gets going. Warner has had a good hit - an unbeaten 72 against Trinbago Knight Riders not long ago - while Fletcher too recently smashed 80 against Barbados Tridents. Mitchell McClenaghan, Qais Ahmad and Kesrick Williams will be the go-to men for the skipper when it comes to bowling. McClenaghan has been the Stars' most successful bowler so far with seven wickets in six matches. Ahmad claimed a three-wicket haul in the reverse fixture against Guyana and the team will want this leg-spinner from Afghanistan to replicate that performance here. Williams has not yet made much of an impact but he can be threatening on his day.
STS Recent Form
St Lucia Stars slipped to their fifth loss in the CPL 2018 after suffering a crushing seven-wicket defeat at the hands of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at home in their last match. Their batting performance in that game was nothing short of abysmal as their entire line-up collapsed for just 69 runs in the 13th over - one of the lowest totals in the history of the tournament. The Stars are currently lying at the bottom of the points table with two points.
St Lucia Stars Predicted Playing 11
Andre Fletcher (wk), David Warner, Rahkeem Cornwall, Lendl Simmons, Kieron Pollard (c), Darren Sammy, Qais Ahmad, Kavem Hodge, Mitchell McClenaghan, Kesrick Williams, Obed McCoy
Guyana Amazon Warriors Team News & Playing 11
GAW Team News
Guyana Amazon Warriors had made just one change to their side for the previous encounter against Jamaica Tallawahs. They brought leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo in place of fast bowler Sohail Tanvir who has not looked at his best this season. The team is coming off a handsome win against the Tallawahs and so they may not want to disturb the winning combination.
GAW Key Players
Shimron Hetmyer is looking in good touch and is among the season's leading run-scorers. The top-order batsman blasted a ton in just 49 balls in the last game against Jamaica Tallawahs and this should boost his confidence going into this game. Skipper Shoaib Malik too cracked a fifty to propel the Warriors to a match-winning total of 209. Apart from these two, the team will also hope for strong contributions from Chadwick Walton and Luke Ronchi who scored 42 in the reverse encounter. With the ball, it will be mainly up to the likes of Imran Tahir, Rayad Emrit and Chris Green to take wickets and keep the Warriors in the game. Tahir has been outstanding in this year's CPL with six wickets in four games at an impressive economy rate of under 7. Emrit took three wickets against the Stars earlier this season and he could trouble them again.
GAW Recent Form
Guyana Amazon Warriors are leading the points table with three wins and a solitary defeat from four league matches. They beat St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and St Lucia Stars in their first two fixtures before facing a 30-run thrashing against Barbados Tridents. The Warriors then bounced back in the tournament, beating Jamaica Tallawahs by a massive margin of 71 runs in their last match. Barring that game against the Tridents, they have been impressive with both bat and ball so far this season.
Guyana Amazon Warriors Predicted Playing 11
Chadwick Walton, Luke Ronchi (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Shoaib Malik (c), Sherfane Rutherford, Jason Mohammed, Chris Green, Keemo Paul, Rayad Emrit, Devendra Bishoo, Imran Tahir
