Jamaica have lost to Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Tridents in their last two completed matches, either side of a rain-ruined no result against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Last time out, Jermaine Blackwood (74) and Andre Russell (54) helped them to 161/4 but they suffered a seven-wicket defeat as Barbados finally found some batting form.

Glenn Phillips is still a key batsman at the top of the order for Jamaica Tallawahs and Andre Fletcher is likewise for St Lucia. Both are worth selecting. Chadwick Walton’s poor batting form and subsequent dropping from the team show why he is best left unpicked.
Batsmen
Mark Deyal and Jermaine Blackwood both moved up to open the batting for their respective teams last time out and both went well with the bat, which considering they are both eight credits makes them excellent value. Najibullah Zadran is nine credits but he has batted well so far.
All-rounder(s)
Andre Russell is 10.5 credits but he is in outstanding batting form, even if he has not been bowling of late. Mohammad Nabi is ten credits and has proved a key all-rounder so far. The next highest scorer is Roston Chase, but he has not made a big impact of late – Carlos Brathwaite could be a better-value pick at nine credits.
Bowlers
Picking Brathwaite over Chase means you can afford both Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Scott Kuggeleijn – key bowlers in top wicket-taking form – with no other compromise in your bowling attack. It leaves 8.5 credits for the third bowler, and Sandeep Lamichhane looks the best option, ahead of Fidel Edwards, at that price.
Captain/vice-captain
Even though he is not bowling at the moment, Andre Russell still looks a great option for captain, given his outstanding batting form. Scott Kuggeleijn and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are in wicket-taking form and Mohammad Nabi is a key all-rounder, so all three are good vice-captain options. Kuggeleijn’s wickets could give him the edge now.
