St Kitts are favourites to win
The Warner Park in St Kitts will host the fourth match of the Caribbean Premier League 2016 between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Jamaica Tallawahs. The former are the most recent addition to the tournament while the latter are the former champions and the semi-finalists of the previous two editions. Both the teams look strong on paper and it should be a cracker of a contest on the 2nd of July. The match is set to have a 12 PM start local time.

Kieran Powell and Evin Lewis could open the batting and the latter, who did well last year, is more likely to deliver a better performance of the two. Simmons and du Plessis are going to be the key and so most of the runs can be expected to come from the middle order. Perera and Brathwaite are good at playing cameos and they can hit a few out of the park in the final overs.
Brathwaite and Perera will be in charge of the pace department and the two will look to strike early. Tabraiz Shamsi and Samuel Badree will be played with extreme caution by the Jamaica batsmen as the pitch is expected to assist the spinners. Shamsi has taken the most wickets for St Kitts and he is well worth a top-bowler bet.
Chris Gayle will be leading the side and St Kitts will be fearing him the most when the Tallawahs come out to bat. He had a great run in the Natwest T20 Blast and should be the safest option for putting money on. The presence of Kumar Sangakkara and Shakib Al Hasan will ensure stability in the middle order, while Andre Russell will look to utilize his hard-hitting skills towards the end of the innings.
Russell can not only contribute with the bat, but he is also more than handy with the ball. The all-rounder will be backed by his team to take wickets at the start and then stifle the batsmen in the death overs. Dale Steyn, however, will be the most threatening of the seamers. If he is at his best on Saturday, St Kitts could be in trouble. Shakib Al Hasan can also be a bit hard to read on this kind of a surface.
The two teams have met each other twice in the CPL and both have a win each. The most recent match between them was played at the Warner Park (home ground of St Kitts) where Jamaica Tallawahs lost by a huge margin of 119 runs. Having handsomely won their last encounter with the Tallawahs, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will be taking the field on Saturday high on confidence.
Although Jamaica Tallawahs have a great CPL history, we feel that St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are the dark horses of this season and are the favorites to win this home game.
