Who Will Win Surrey Stars vs Loughborough Lightning, WCSL 2019?
Surrey Stars will be eyeing their third consecutive win when they take on the Loughborough Lightning in this 12th fixture of the Women's Cricket Super League 2019. The match will be played on August 15 at the Woodbridge Road in Guildford. Live telecast is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM local time.
Surrey Stars are currently positioned second on the WCSL 2019 points table with a couple of wins and a washout from their first three matches. They beat Yorkshire Diamonds by nine runs in their campaign opener and followed that up with a comfortable eight-wicket win over Lancashire Thunder before their last match against Southern Vipers had to be abandoned due to rain. Loughborough Lightning, on the other hand, find themselves fourth on the leaderboard having won one and lost three out of their four matches. Their solitary win came against Yorkshire Diamonds last week but they failed to build on the momentum having suffered a heavy 40-run defeat at the hands of Western Storm last time.

Surrey Stars Team News & Playing 11
Surrey Stars had a very good outing with both bat and ball in the game against Lancashire Thunder. Dane van Niekerk starred with the ball, picking up three wickets to help her side restrict Lancashire to 120/7. The leg-spinner now has four wickets in the tournament, the same as off-spinner Laura Marsh, and both of them are key figures in this bowling line-up. Natalie Sciver is another vital cog in the side. The skipper is a very handy batter at the top of the order and she can pick up wickets with the ball as well. Sarah Taylor and Lizelle Lee have been the most impressive batters for Surrey Stars so far this season. Lizelle recently smashed 66 off 45 balls against Lancashire and the opener will again be expected to lay a strong platform.

Loughborough Lightning Team News & Playing 11
Loughborough Lightning had a really tough time with the bat in their last match against Western Storm where they got bowled out for just 118 while chasing 159. Mignon du Preez (30 runs from 24 balls) waged a lone battle as wickets kept tumbling around her. Once again, the team's middle-order batting will depend largely on her. Loughborough will also need healthy contributions from their opening pair of Hayley Matthews and Amy Ellen Jones who cracked a half-century on the opening day of the tournament. Sarah Glenn, Kirstie Gordon and skipper Georgia Elwiss are the primary wicket-taking options and the team will want these three bowlers to come good with the ball on Thursday. Sarah, with five wickets at an economy of 5.25, has been their best bowler so far and Surrey will look to be watchful against her.

🏆 Surrey Stars vs Loughborough Lightning Prediction
Loughborough Lightning have not got off to the best of starts this season. They have played four matches so far and have faced defeats in three of those. Surrey Stars, on the other hand, are yet to taste defeat. They have played two completed matches till now and have won both of those. So obviously, there is going to be a lot more pressure on Loughborough as one more loss at this stage will make it very difficult for them to bounce back into the tournament. Surrey also have the upper hand in the fact that they have beaten Loughborough on the previous two occasions and we feel they are better placed to win again.
