Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Kings XI Punjab in the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League. The match will be played on the Dubai Cricket Ground and is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM local time.

With 2 wins in 5 games, Sunrisers are placed at 5th spot in the points table and desperately need a win to revive their tournament. It’s not going to be easy though. Sunrisers Hyderabad has plenty of issues to deal with. David Warner has been on and off, so does Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson. One would assume they’re far too reliant on their top order. Also, in the last game against MI, it was clearly evident that they’re missing the services of Bhuveneshwar Kumar, especially in the death overs. Kings XI Punjab came into the tournament with great expectations but has been a big let-down. It’s not that they’ve a weak team but something is not clicking for them. Just like SRH, Punjab too are very much dependent on KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal for runs. In the bowling department, you have Mohammed Shami and Sheldon Cottrell. You can’t win matches with just 4 performing players. Other players need to lend them a helping hand. 

On paper, both SRH and KXIP have a very strong team but both are facing similar issues and to predict a clear winner won’t be that easy. SRH, however, have a lot more experience in their side when compared to Punjab which will definitely be handy in a crunch game like this. Also, they’ve a pretty decent record against Punjab in previous IPL matches.
