Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their opening game against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 45 runs. Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, announced their arrival in style by trumping the Delhi Daredevils with a nine-wicket victory. The two teams will now face each other on April 16 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. This will be the 8th match of the Indian Premier League 2016 and live action is scheduled to commence at 4 PM local time. Having failed to make an impression in the previous season, both Sunrisers and Royal Challengers will look to lift their game in this IPL.

Electing to field first, their bowlers leaked way too many runs as RCB piled on a mammoth 227 on the board. Mustafizur Rahman was the stand out bowler, picking up two wickets for just 26 runs in four overs. The 20-year old Bangladeshi fast bowler has been putting up consistent performances which has made him a favorite among online punters. Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed both the openers and is expected to take early wickets against the KKR. Leg-spinner Karn Sharma was the most expensive of all the bowlers.
Despite a valiant effort by their captain David Warner, Sunrisers Hyderabad fell short by 45 runs. The left-handed Aussie batsman smashed a 25-ball 58 to keep his team in the hunt. Andre Russell was adjudged the 'Man of the Match' for his fantastic figures of 3 for 24 in four overs. The West Indian allrounder is a valuable asset to the Knight Riders and is a worthy bet to be the best bowler on Saturday. The team has good spinning options in Brad Hogg and Piyush Chawla. The duo shared five wickets between them with an economy rate of less than run-a-ball.
The batting line-up wasn't tested at all as the top three finished the match off in the 15th over. Skipper Gautam Gambhir top-scored with an unbeaten 38 and Robin Uthappa too chipped in with 35. Middle-order batsman Manish Pandey has a wide array of shots in his armor and scores consistently, making him a good choice for a bet. Colin Munro and Andre Russell can also be dangerous near the end of the innings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad could not make it to the play-offs in the last two seasons and they did not have the best of starts this year either. Though they have the resources to go a long distance in the tournament, they will need to work on performing as a unit. Kolkata Knight Riders are the two-time IPL champions and they reminded everyone of this in their first match against the Daredevils. Even though SRH will be playing on their home ground, the more strongly recruited KKR will go into the match on Saturday with the momentum on their side and with a better chance to win.
