After an enthralling first game of the series concluded on Wednesday, Sri Lanka and Pakistan go head to head in the second and final Test in Galle. Sri Lanka took a four run lead into the second innings of the game but could not prevent a Pakistan victory, in spite of setting the visitors a target of 342. Read on as we preview this match. The Second Test begins at the Galle International Stadium at 10:00 local time.
Sri Lanka had the upper hand at times but could not make it two wins in a row after beating Australia earlier in the month. However, they showed enough quality and fight to prove that this could be another close Test.
Pakistan became the latest team to chase down a target of over 300 in recent Test cricket. They required all of their talent with the bat and ball across the entire game to get the victory.

The last two Tests at this venue this month have seen the team batting second win the game. It will be a tough choice but we expect both captains to choose to bat first if they win the toss.
We saw another wicket in Galle which favoured the spin bowlers in the First Test and we do not expect to see much difference for this game. We predict that the pitch will not deteriorate a great deal on the final couple of days.

There will be at least one change for the hosts after spinner Maheesh Theekshana was ruled out of the game with a finger injury. Off-spinner Lakshitha Manasinghe has replaced him in the squad and is expected to make his debut. We are also expecting to see Pathum Nissanka come back into the team after recovering from illness.
Sri Lanka continue to struggle for consistency across all formats and showed many flashes of brilliance in the First Test. They have won two of their last seven Tests.

Agha Salman made his Test debut for Pakistan in the opening game of the series and, although he struggled with both bat and ball, we expect him to be given another opportunity in this Test. There are no injury worries in the Pakistan squad.
Pakistan ended a run of three successive Tests without a win by getting the victory on Wednesday. Prior to Galle, their last win in this format was against Bangladesh in December.
