Kagiso Rabada, Dale Steyn and Imran Tahir will be the ones to watch out for with the ball in this warm up match of Cricket world Cup 2019. Chris Gayle has been appointed deputy to Jason Holder who will be leading the West Indies in this World Cup. Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis are likely to open the batting while Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Darren Bravo will hold fort in the middle order. Nicholas Pooran is the other specialist wicketkeeper in the side apart from Shai Hope. The West Indian pace attack will spearheaded by Shannon Gabriel, Sheldon Cottrell and Kemar Roach while the spin department has Ashley Nurse and Fabian Allen as the two specialist options.

The opening pair of Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis along with Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Darren Bravo and Andre Russell are the key figures with the bat for the West Indies. Gayle is the team's second-highest run-scorer in ODIs and it will be up to him to give the innings a brisk start. Shai Hope is currently amongst the world's top five ODI batsmen. He topped the runs charts in the recent tri-series in Ireland and he will be expected to carry that good form into the World Cup.
Andre Russell had a brilliant IPL with both bat and ball and he is the x-factor in this West Indian line-up. The ability to clear the boundary at will and pick up wickets at crucial moments makes him a very valuable player. Shannon Gabriel, however, is a much bigger threat when it comes to bowling. The pacer finished as the best bowler in the tri-series with eight wickets and he is more likely to provide the early breakthroughs with the new ball. Jason Holder and Kemar Roach are the other quality bowlers in the side.
WI Recent Form
West Indies have not been able to win a single ODI series since 2015 which shows how badly they have been faring in the 50-over format of the game. They have played nine completed one-day internationals so far this year out which they have won four and lost five. They managed a 2-2 draw with England at home in a five-match series earlier this year in February. Their previous ODI assignment came just a few days ago in Ireland - a tri-series involving the hosts and Bangladesh. The Windies made it to the final of that series but lost to Bangladesh by five wickets.

With the likes of Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite in their ranks, the Windies make for a formidable T20 side but still lack the skills required to win in the longer versions of the game. They have plenty of power-hitters in their batting line-up but there doesn't seem anyone capable of bailing them out of trouble should they lose a few early wickets. South Africa boast an impressive record against the Windies and they have been performing very well of late. Although the poor form of Hashim Amla, JP Duminy and David Miller will concern the Proteas, we still feel they have enough quality and experience in their side to beat a team that has struggled big time in the 50-over format.
