Aiden Markram and JP Duminy have returned to South Africa's squad for the remaining two ODIs while Wiaan Mulder, who failed to make a mark in the first three matches of the series, has been dropped. Amla was earlier included in the squad but has now been released due to an illness in his family. The veteran has been replaced by Reeza Hendricks in the squad. Markram has been included following his impressive batting performances for the Titans in the ongoing Momentum One Day Cup while Duminy will be making a comeback after having last played international cricket in October 2018.

SA Key Players

Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis have had an excellent series so far and both these batsmen will be holding the key to South Africa's batting. While the former has hit a century and two fifties already, the latter has a century and a fifty from his three innings. Rassie van der Dussen would have grown in confidence after his fifty in the last game and the team will also want Reeza Hendricks to step up. Imran Tahir and Lungi Ngidi have been the most successful bowlers for the Proteas in the series with seven and six wickets respectively. Tahir was the pick of the bowlers last time with figures of 2-19 from five overs and the leg-spinner is likely to trouble the Sri Lankan batsmen again. Dale Steyn has 12 wickets from 5 ODIs at this ground and he could be given a game here in place of Kagiso Rabada.

South Africa have won eleven and lost just three of their last fourteen one-day internationals and have won six out of the eight they have played so far this year. The 71-run victory at Durban was their fourth consecutive win in the fifty-over format of the game. The Proteas put up an all-round show in the last game. Their batsmen first posted a huge total of 331 on the board and then their bowlers ensured that Sri Lanka never really had a foothold in the match.
