SA vs SL Toss Prediction
Sri Lanka have won slightly more tosses in the limited-overs matches, with a general tendency to field first, but it has made no difference to the final outcome of any of the matches - of which South Africa have won them all.
Read on for team previews, betting tips, latest odds and match prediction for South Africa vs Sri Lanka, 3rd T20.
With Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada only featuring in the first game of the series, Aiden Markram and Sinethemba Qeshile made their T20i debuts in the second match. Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje are out injured - though Ngidi was not due to play these matches anyway - with Dale Steyn, Dwaine Pretorius, Lutho Sipamla, Chris Morris and Tabraiz Shamsi forming the bowling attack in the second game. Shamsi replaced Imran Tahir and Morris stepped in for Andile Phehlukwayo as South Africa made full use of their 18-strong squad.
Reeza Hendricks recaptured his best form in the last match, scoring 65 with the bat - his third T20i half-century. He had gone into the matches with Sri Lanka in good form in the Momentum One Day Cup with Lions.
Rassie van der Dussen, meanwhile, hit 64 from 44 balls at Centurion to follow the 34 he scored in the first game. Van der Dussen averages 36.89 in T20 cricket, with a strike rate just shy of 130, having burst onto the scene at the highest level in the past year.
David Miller and JP Duminy offer big hitting and experience in the middle order, meanwhile - the former scored 41 from 23 balls in the first game and then dominated the super over, while the latter, captaining the team, scored 33* from 17 balls last time out.
With the ball, IPL-bound Chris Morris took 3-32 last time out and was in good form with bat and ball in the T20s against Pakistan too - in his final match, he took 2-27 and then hit 55*.
Dale Steyn’s vast experience contrasts with young paceman Lutho Sipamla, meanwhile, but both have proved they can take wickets and bowl economically at this level.
Two wins from two so far in this series take South Africa to seven wins in their last eight T20 internationals. The one blip was the dead rubber against Pakistan in their series win that preceded Sri Lanka’s tour.
Against Sri Lanka, it took some big hitting from David Miller and economical bowling from Imran Tahir in the Super Over to seal a South African win first up. They had earlier been cruising in pursuit of 135 to win with four overs remaining but collapsed from 118/3 to 134/8 to tie the game.
There were no such dramas last time out, however - Reeza Hendricks top-scored with 65 in a total of 180/3 and Chris Morris took 3-32 with the ball as Sri Lanka were restricted to 164/9 in reply.

Sri Lanka were unchanged for the first two matches, with Jeffrey Vandersay back in the fold but no place for Suranga Lakmal, Lakshan Sandakan and Sadeera Samarawickrama. Sri Lanka could tweak their batting line-up for the final game, however, with the series now out of reach.
Lasith Malinga's stunning bowling turned the first match of the series around, as he claimed 2-11 to earn Sri Lanka a tie - albeit he could not maintain it in the super over. He has 3-37 from his eight overs in this series in total.
Isuru Udana also claimed a wicket last time out, but it was his late-order batting that took the headlines - his unbeaten 84 from 48 balls helping Sri Lanka recover from 83/7 to finish 164/9 - just short of their required target.
Elsewhere, Thisara Perera's big-hitting has got Sri Lanka out of jail in the past and he offers an option with the ball too.
Sri Lanka won their last match against South Africa before this series but then lost to both England and New Zealand in between.
In this series, Lasith Malinga's superb over earned a tie in the first game as Sri Lanka defended 134/7. In the super over, however, the South Africans dominated. Last time out, meanwhile, chasing 181 to win, Sri Lanka were in big trouble at 83/7 in the 14th over. They recovered thanks to Isuru Udana's 84* from 48 balls but ultimately fell to a 16-run defeat.

Their two wins so far in this series mean South Africa have now won seven of their 12 previous matches against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka had won three in a row, including a one-off match in August, but South Africa’s series win tips the balance their way.
David Miller and Imran Tahir starred in a super-over win first up, before Reeza Hendricks and Rassie van der Dussen helped power a total of 180/3 last time out and some late Isuru Udana hitting was not enough as Sri Lanka paid for a poor start with the bat.
South Africa have won all seven limited overs matches against Sri Lanka in the latter's current tour and are 1.30 to round off the T20 series with another win with Bet365. Sri Lanka are as high as 3.50 by contrast.
Reeza Hendricks top-scored for South Africa last time out and is 4.50 to do so again, while Rassie van der Dussen is in good form and can be backed at 5.00.
For Sri Lanka, the batsmen have a lot to prove and Thisara Perera is 9.00 to be their top batsman – possibly profitable, given the top order have struggled so far.
Chris Morris was South Africa's top bowler in the second game and he is 5.00 to do so again, while Dale Steyn is 4.50. For Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga's bowling has been a rare highlight and he is 3.50 with Bet365.
South Africa have been in dominant form in the white-ball part of Sri Lanka’s tour and can wrap things up by sealing another series whitewash.
