Who will win Rajshahi Royals vs Chattogram Challengers, BPL 2020?
The Qualifier 2 of the Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 will see Rajshahi Royals face off against Chattogram Challengers. The match will be played on January 15 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Live telecast of this penultimate game of the tournament is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM local time.
Rajshahi Royals suffered a 27-run loss against Khulna Tigers in the Qualifier 1 and will now face Chattogram Challengers who secured a seven-wicket win over Dhaka Platoon in the Eliminator. The Royals, after opting to field first, kept the Tigers to a manageable 158 but a shoddy batting performance saw them fold for 131. The Challengers, on the other hand, had a contrasting outing the other day. They were disciplined with the ball and restricted Dhaka to 144 before their top-order batsmen made short work of the target to complete the chase in the 18th over.

Rajshahi Royals Team News & Playing 11
RAR Team News
Rajshahi Royals are unchanged since their last two matches and they might not make a change in their line-up for this match as well. Alok Kapali was sent ahead of Andre Russell and Ravi Bopara in the Qualifier 1 against Khulna Tigers, and after his failure with the bat, he could be pushed back into the middle order again. Liton Das and Afif Hossain will continue to open the batting while Mohammad Irfan and Abu Jayed will share the new ball.
RAR Key Players
Shoaib Malik: Rajshahi's number three is one of the tournament's leading run-getters with 432 runs at an average of 43.20. The Pakistan all-rounder has cracked three fifties this BPL, one of which came last time against Khulna Tigers - 80 off 50 balls. Malik is also handy with his off-spin bowling and has picked five wickets at an economy of 6.31.
Liton Das: He too has been consistent with the bat for the Royals. The opener smashed quickfire half-centuries in both the reverse fixtures that were played at this ground - 56 off 45 balls in the first encounter and 75 off 48 balls in the second.
Andre Russell: The captain has the ability to change the course of the game with the bat in just a couple of overs. He is yet to get going this season and the team will be hoping that he has saved his best for the last. Russell is also Rajshahi's best bowler with 11 wickets in as many matches.
RAR Team Form
Rajshahi Royals finished the league stage as the second-placed team with eight wins and four losses from their twelve matches. They stepped into the playoffs having won three of their last four league fixtures. The Royals, however, lost to Khulna Tigers by 27 runs in the Qualifier 1. Their bowlers did a pretty good job in restricting the Tigers to a chasable total of 158 but they put up a disappointing show with the bat as they got knocked over for 131 runs.
Rajshahi Royals Predicted Playing 11
Liton Das (wk), Afif Hossain, Shoaib Malik, Alok Kapali, Ravi Bopara, Andre Russell (c), Farhad Reza, Taijul Islam, Kamrul Islam, Abu Jayed, Mohammad Irfan
Chattogram Challengers Team News & Playing 11
CHC Team News
Chattogram Challengers made a couple of changes to their side for their Eliminator game against Dhaka Platoon - they dropped batsman Junaid Siddique and pace bowler Liam Plunkett for Asela Gunaratne and Mehedi Hasan Rana respectively. All-rounder Ziaur Rahman was promoted to the opening slot and could be used as a pinch-hitter again depending on the game situation. Imrul Kayes and Mahmudullah will continue to bat at their usual number three and four positions. Rubel Hossain will lead the team's bowling attack with Mehedi Hasan Rana likely to partner him in the powerplay.
CHC Key Players
Imrul Kayes: With 437 runs at an impressive average of 54.62, Imrul Kayes is among the top five batsmen this BPL. The left-handed batsman has hit four half-centuries which includes the unbeaten knock of 67 in one of the earlier encounters against Rajshahi Royals.
Rubel Hossain: He is one of the best bowlers in the tournament having picked 18 wickets in 12 matches at a decent economy of 7.24. The fast bowler took 3-20 last week against the Royals and he will look to do the damage again when the two teams meet on Wednesday.
Mehedi Hasan Rana: He has had an excellent BPL with the ball, picking up 17 wickets in 9 matches at an economy of 7. The left-arm quick has notched up a couple of four-wicket hauls - 4/23 versus Sylhet Thunder and 4/28 versus Cumilla Warriors.
CHC Team Form
Chattogram Challengers won eight and lost four out of their twelve league-stage matches to finish third on the BPL 07 points table. They had a terrific start to the season, winning five of their first six encounters before inconsistency crept into their performances and denied them to finish at the top of the table. The Challengers, however, are coming on the back of a convincing seven-wicket victory over three-time champions Dhaka Platoon in the Eliminator.
Chattogram Challengers Predicted Playing 11
Chris Gayle, Ziaur Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah (c), Chadwick Walton, Nurul Hasan (wk), Asela Gunaratne, Rayad Emrit, Rubel Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Rana

🏆 Rajshahi Royals vs Chattogram Challengers Prediction
Both the teams have played well up till now and there is not much to choose between them. Chattogram Challengers have shown better form in the past few games - they have three wins in their last four matches and the win in the Eliminator against Dhaka Platoon, the most successful team of the BPL, would have surely done their confidence a world of good. They also have the psychological advantage of having beaten Rajshahi Royals three times in the last four meetings at this venue. The Royals do have plenty of quality players in their ranks like Andre Russell, Ravi Bopara, Shoaib Malik and Liton Das, but the Challengers have more players in good form which is why we are backing them to win this battle and set up Friday’s title clash with Khulna Tigers.
