Out of the four games that have been played at Karachi in this year's Pakistan Super League, three have been won by the side batting first. Since the wicket at this ground has tended to offer more assistance to the bowlers during the second period of play, the toss-winning team will probably prefer to bat first.

Quetta Gladiators made just the one change to their side for the last match against Karachi Kings. They dropped batsman Azam Khan to accommodate an extra bowling option in seamer Anwar Ali. Although the Gladiators suffered the narrowest of defeats last time out, we don't expect them to make any changes to their line-up for this qualifier match against Peshawar Zalmi. However, it would be interesting to see whether skipper Sarfraz Ahmed continues to bat with the tail or decides to promote himself up the order.
Shane Watson has shown some serious form in PSL 2019. The opener has scored 352 runs this season which includes three half-centuries and he is undoubtedly the key man for Quetta Gladiators. Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal too have been pretty impressive with the bat. Shehzad is averaging a little over 50 and he struck 99 off 57 balls in the last game against Karachi Kings. Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Nawaz and Fawad Ahmed are the team's main weapons when it comes to bowling. Tanvir is one of the tournament's best bowlers with 15 wickets and he is more likely to trouble Peshawar in the powerplay. Nawaz has also been among the wickets while Fawad has the best economy rate of 6.70. Dwayne Bravo is another key figure in Quetta's line-up as he can make vital contributions with the bat and can also win games with the ball.
Quetta Gladiators have finished second on the PSL 2019 points table with seven wins and three losses from their ten league matches. They registered wins in their first four games of the season but now have three wins and as many defeats in their last six games which shows that they have gone a little inconsistent in the latter-half of the tournament. Though the Gladiators have been impressive with the bat in their last three matches, they just could not get over the line last time against Karachi Kings.
Shane Watson, Ahmed Shehzad, Rilee Rossouw, Umar Akmal, Dwayne Bravo, Anwar Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed (c/wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Hasnain, Fawad Ahmed
Peshawar Zalmi played Sohaib Maqsood in place of Misbah-ul-Haq in the final league-stage match against Karachi Kings and he is likely to be retained in the playing eleven for this upcoming encounter against Quetta Gladiators. Kieron Pollard was promoted at number three. The experiment did not work and he could be pushed down the order once again in which case Liam Dawson could be moved to number three. Peshawar Zalmi are coming off a big win and they unlikely to tinker with their winning combination.
Imam-ul-Haq has scored the most runs for Peshawar Zalmi in this year's PSL and Kamran Akmal too is showing some fine form. The openers were involved in a 137-run stand in the last match against Karachi Kings and they will be expected to deliver a similar performance here. Akmal is coming on the back of a 48-ball 86 and he scored 49 and 72 in the two respective games against Quetta Gladiators this season. Kieron Pollard is another danger man with the bat who can be very difficult to stop once he gets into his groove. Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz have been the standout performers with the ball for Peshawar and they will be backed by their team to inflict damage on the opposition early on in their innings. Hasan is the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 21 scalps to his name which includes three four-wicket hauls. Tymal Mills is a seasoned campaigner and is another bowler to watch out for.
Peshawar Zalmi have finished as table toppers after winning seven and losing three out of their ten league-stage encounters. They secured a crushing 61-run victory over Karachi Kings in their last match which was their fifth win in their last six matches. In the game before, they got the better of Lahore Qalandars in what was a low-scoring thriller. Peshawar Zalmi have done an excellent job with the ball in their previous two outings, first restricting Lahore to 124/7 and then dismissing Karachi for 142.
Kamran Akmal (wk), Imam-ul-Haq, Liam Dawson, Darren Sammy (c), Kieron Pollard, Sohaib Maqsood, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Umar Amin, Tymal Mills, Sameen Gul

Quetta Gladiators recorded a comfortable eight-wicket win in their most recent meeting with Peshawar Zalmi last week at Abu Dhabi. Quetta Gladiators are favorites with Betway to win this Pakistan Super League 2019 Qualifier at odds of 1.80 while Peshawar Zalmi find themselves slightly higher at 1.90. Bet365 is offering 1.90 on both the teams to win this match while Betrally currently has them fixed at 1.83.
Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have been the two most consistent teams in this year's PSL. The former, however, have the upper hand in the fact that they have beaten the latter twice earlier this season. Peshawar have the firepower in their middle order but their batting looks a little fragile at the top. Quetta, on the other hand, have a solid top-order batting and their bowling looks comparatively stronger as well which is why we are backing them to win this match and book their place in the final.
