Our Pick Sydney Sixers are favorites to win
Two back to back wins against Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades have brought Perth Scorchers back in the tournament but their road ahead will not be easy.
They’ll be taking on a high flying Sydney Sixers in their next match who’ve been very dominant in the tournament. With 5 wins in 7 games, they’re settled at the helm of the points table and a win against Perth Scorchers will further solidify their position in the tournament.
Read our preview as Perth Scorchers hosts Sydney Sixers in 30th match of the Big Bash League. The match will be played at the Perth Stadium and is set to get underway at 4:15 PM local time.
It was hard to see a side like Perth Scorchers struggled like the way they did in the tournament. But now, with two solid performances, we can hope their graph to go upwards from here.
Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone has got starts but have not converted them into big scores. However, they’re striking the ball beautifully and we feel that a big inning is just around the corner.
It’ll also be a huge relief to see runs from Colin Munro and Josh Inglish, and Mitchell Marsh. All of them are pretty destructive batsmen and if they can play to their potential, Perth Scorchers will be very difficult to contain.
Jhye Richarson has been scintillating with the ball in the last few games while he’s got good support from Andrew Tye, Aaron Hardie, Jason Behrendorff, and Fawad Ahmed.
Sydney Sixers has been on a roll in the BBL 2020-21. After a blip against Brisbane Heat, Sixers returned to winning ways with a 7 wicket win over Adelaide Strikers.
With James Vince, Daniel Hughes, Jordan Silk, Daniel Christian, and Carlos Brathwaite, the Sydney Sixers are a formidable batting unit.
Sixers dropped Jason Holder and brought in genuine bowlers to add quality in the bowling department. It’s a move that we think can back fire as it compromises on their batting depth.
Also, the players that have come in have not lived up to the expectations. They could consider bringing Holder back for this match.
Even then, they look a very strong team. They have plenty of quality in their batting, and their bowling looks more suited to the bouncy pitch of Perth. They’re our favourites for this match.

Toss will be very crucial as chasing won’t be easy on this wicket. Both skippers would want to win the toss and bat.
The match will be played at the Perth Stadium, Perth. The surface will have plenty of pace and bounce in it. Not only it will allow the batsmen to play their shots, it’ll offer plenty of assistance to the bowlers as well.
It’ll be a clear day in Perth with temperatures around early 30’s.

Perth Scorchers look a very dangerous team, a team that we think is on par with the quality of Sydney Sixers. However, we have few concerns about their consistency. Also, Sixers have a bowling line up that’ll enjoy bowling on the bouncy surface of Perth. We’d like to stick with the visitors for the winners of this match.
Wicket Keeper
Josh Philippe at 9.5 and Josh Inglish at 8.5 are two good picks. Philippe has been sensational form for the Sixers and is the second leading run scorer in the tournament while Inglish is coming back from two big knocks in his last two games
Batsmen
Jason Roy at 10, James Vince at 9.5 and Daniel Hughes at 9.0 will form our batting line up. Jason Roy and James Vince, both are match winners on their day. Roy is striking the ball beautifully in the last few innings and we expect that a big inning is just around the corner. Same can be said about James Vince as well. The Sixers skipper, Daniel Hughes too have some good knocks under his belt.
All rounder
Mitch Marsh and Daniel Christian at 9.5 and Liam Livingstone at 9.0 will add depth to our team. Daniel Christian has played a key role in Sixers juggernaut in the tournament. He’s been very good both with the bat and ball. Mitchell Marsh also have been magnificent for Scorchers. Liam Livingstone occupies a key spot in the Scorchers batting.
Bowlers
Jhye Richarson at 9.0, Ben Dwarshius at 8.5 and Ben Manenti at 9.0 forms a strong bowling unit. Richardson has really picked up his game in the last couple of match and will enjoy bowling on the bouncy wicket of Perth. Ben Dwarshius and Ben Manenti are the best bowlers for the Sixers
Captain /Vice Captain
Jason Roy is our preferred captain while Josh Phillippe can be backed as his deputy
Batsmen:Daniel Hughes, James Vince, Jason Royc (c)
All Rounder:Mitch Marsh, Daniel Christian, Liam Livingstone
Wicket Keeper:Josh Phillipe(vc), Josh Inglish
