Hobart Hurricanes had a fantastic start to the tournament but have somewhat lost their way in the last few games. Mind you, they still have a very strong team and won’t be an easy opponent.

Perth Scorchers were down and out during the first half of the tournament but the way they’re playing now, they’re very dangerous opponent.
Let’s first talk about the bowling who’s been simply outstanding. Jhye Richardson is spitting venom with his bowling and making full use of the excellent conditions in Perth. Jason Behrendorff, Andrew Tye too have been top class.
In terms of batting, they’re a powerhouse. Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone form a solid opening pair. Players like Colin Munro, Josg Inglish, Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Turner are good enough to give nightmares to any bowling unit.
Hobart Hurricanes have lost their last two matches but they still boast of a very good team.
Ben McDermott, D Arcy Short, Dawid Malan, Peter Handscomb, Colin Ingram and Tim David form a strong batting order. All of them have been pretty decent with the bat.
However, they struggled against Thunders on the same venue so they’ll need better application on this surface.
Hurricanes depend a lot on their spinners i.e, Sandeep Lamichhane, D Arcy Short and Johan Botha but Perth is not known to support the spinners which may be an issue. However, Nathan Ellis and Scott Boland have been good as fast bowlers.
Overall, Perth Scorchers are in middle of a great run and the kind of team they have, they’ll be very hard to beat for Hobart Hurricanes.

Both teams have a very strong batting but Scorchers have a bowling unit that can make more use of the bouncy conditions of the Perth. Also having played their last 4 matches on the same venue will help the Scorchers who’re our favourites for the match.
Wicket Keeper
Ben McDermott at 9.5 and Josh Inglish at 8.5 are two top picks. McDermott is the leading run scorer of the tournament while Josh Inglish have been very good in the last few games
Batsmen
Dawid Malan at 9.5, Ashton Turner at 9.0 and Colin Ingram at 9.0 are best selections from this section. Malan has few good innings under his belt and we expect that he’ll enjoy the extra pace of the wicket. Turner played a good little knock in the last match while Ingram has been pretty decent too.
All rounder
D Arcy Short at 10, Mitchell Marsh at 9.5 and Liam Livingstone at 9.0 will add strength to our side. Short scored a hundred when these two teams met the last time while Marsh has been brilliant with his all round skills. Livingstone is one of the key batsmen for the Scorchers.
Bowlers
Jhye Richardson at 9.0, Andrew Tye and Nathan Ellis at 8.5 will form a lethal pace attack. Jhye Richardson has been sensational in the last few games and delivered a man of the match performance in the last game. Nathan Ellis and Andrew Tye too have been very good in the last few games
Captain /Vice Captain
Ben McDermott will be our skipper while we’ll back Mitchel Marsh as his deputy.
