Who will win Pakistan vs Bangladesh, 2nd T20 2020?
Pakistan can wrap up a much-needed T20i series win with a game to spare when they take on Bangladesh in the second game of this three-match T20i series. The hosts won the opening game and the two teams return to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on January 26, with the live action starting at 14:00 local time.
Shoaib Malik’s return was key last time out – the veteran all-rounder hitting an unbeaten half-century as Pakistan ended a dismal run of form in the shortest format. Ahsan Ali and Haris Rauf made their T20i debuts, meanwhile, with Pakistan’s new balance impressing first up.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, need to score quicker in the second match if they are to level the series. Having opted not to pick Najmul Hossain Shanto – who showed such good, big-hitting form at the end of the Bangladesh Premier League – they did not score quickly enough at the top of the order.

PAK Team News
Haris Rauf and Ahsan Ali made their T20i debuts last time out, while Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Shaheen Afridi all also returned to the team. Ahsan Ali opened, meaning Fakhar Zaman dropped out after his poor recent form. Having to the balance right and secured victory, Pakistan could stick with the same XI.
PAK Key Players
Babar Azam: Dismissed without scoring last time out, but he hit two half-centuries in the T20i series and remains Pakistan’s top batsman at the top of the order when he gets going.
Shoaib Malik: Proved his enduring class as he hit an unbeaten half-century to lead Pakistan to victory on his return to the team. His form in franchise cricket means his latest half-century was no real surprise.
Haris Rauf: The paceman rose from Australian grade cricket to a last-minute Big Bash contract to a Pakistan T20i debut in just a couple of months and marked his first appearance with a wicket last time out.
PAK Team Form
Pakistan were in poor T20i form ahead of this series, losing to Australia and Sri Lanka most recently, but they earned a much-needed win last time out as Shoaib Malik’s unbeaten half-century led the chase of 142 to win by five wickets. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan had earlier picked up wickets and Pakistan bowled tightly to limit Bangladesh to 141/5.
Pakistan Predicted Playing 11
Babar Azam (c), Ahsan Ali, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain

BAN Team News
Najmul Hossain Shanto was left out last time out, despite his impressive finish to the Bangladesh Premier League, but he could be called up as Bangladesh search for quicker runs at the top of the order. Rubel Hossain is another player to have impressed in the BPL who could be brought in for this second match.
BAN Key Players
Tamim Iqbal: Still a dangerous batsman at the top of the order, but he scored a little too slowly as he posted 39 from 34 balls in a 71-run opening partnership last time ot.
Mahmudullah: Provided a little late impetus with the bat, hitting 19* from 14 balls, having returned from injury in good form at the Bangladesh Premier League too.
Shafiul Islam: Dismissed Babar Azam second ball last time out and finished with excellent figures of 2-27 from his four overs.
BAN Team Form
Bangladesh lost 2-1 to India most recently, but did open that series with a win. They could not do the same in Lahore last time out, as they posted 141/5 and lost by five wickets with three balls to spare. Shafiul Islam (2-27) and Al-Amin Hossain (1-18) ensured the game went down to the final over, but realistically the Bangladesh total never looked like being enough.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Naim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Liton Das (wk), Afif Hossain, Mahmudullah (c), Soumya Sarkar, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain
Pakistan vs Bangladesh Head to Head
Victory last time out was Pakistan’s ninth in 11 previous T20 international matches against Bangladesh. They last beat Bangladesh in the format at the T20 World Cup in 2016, and Shoaib Malik’s unbeaten 58 from 45 balls proved a match-winning innings in the first game of this series as Pakistan chased 142 to win by five wickets with three balls to spare.
