Toss Prediction
Seven of the last nine one-day internationals (including three out of the four in this Asia Cup) played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium have been won by the side batting first. Since the wicket at this venue tends to favor the batsmen more early on in the game, the toss-winning skipper may be tempted to bat first here.

Pakistan Team News & Playing 11
PAK Team News
Pakistan do not have any injury issues to deal with ahead of their upcoming encounter against Afghanistan as all their players seem to be in good physical condition. They made a couple of changes to their side for the last game against India - Haris Sohail and Usman Khan were dropped for Shadab Khan and Mohammad Amir respectively - and we expect them to stick with the same line-up for this match.
PAK Key Players
Shoaib Malik and Babar Azam have been the most consistent batsmen for Pakistan in this Asia Cup. Shoaib has now hit two fifties in two games, including the gritty 78 he scored against India on Sunday. While Babar and Shoaib will be the key men at the top and in the middle order respectively, the team will also look to their openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq to take them off to a good start. Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Hasan Ali seem to be the main threats among the bowlers. Shadab and Nawaz have been pretty economical so far and Pakistan will need these two bowlers to hurt Afghanistan during the middle phase of their innings. Hasan Ali and Mohammad Amir will be backed by skipper Sarfraz to make the early strikes during the first powerplay.
PAK Recent Form
Pakistan have won two and lost as many matches out of the four they have played so far in this Asia Cup. They managed to survive a serious scare against Afghanistan but were completely outclassed by India in their last match. Pakistan's bowling has not been quite up to the mark in the last two games. First, their bowlers allowed Afghanistan to reach 257 and then in the next game failed to pick up a single wicket against India (the only breakthrough that they managed was through a run-out).
Pakistan Predicted Playing 11
Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed (c/wk), Asif Ali, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Afridi
Bangladesh Team News & Playing 11
BAN Team News
Bangladesh brought Imrul Kayes in place of Mosaddek Hossain in the last game against Afghanistan and his impressive performance with the bat means that he is likely to be retained for this crunch game against Pakistan. They also dropped pace bowler Rubel Hossain for an extra spinner in Nazmul Islam who returned impressive figures on ODI debut. Bangladesh are coming off a win in their last match and so they may not want to make any changes to their side.
BAN Key Players
Mushfiqur Rahim has scored the most runs for Bangladesh in the tournament - 198 runs in three matches - and he is going to be the key figure in this batting line-up. The middle order relies heavily on Shakib Al Hasan and it will be crucial that he makes a notable contribution with the bat. Imrul Kayes and Mahmudullah both scored in 70s last time against Afghanistan and the team will want them to continue from where they had left off. Shakib will have a major role to play with the ball as well. He is amongst the tournament's leading wicket-takers with seven wickets in four matches and the pitch at this ground should suit his style of bowling. Mustafizur Rahman and Mashrafe Mortaza who claimed two scalps apiece against Afghanistan are two other bowlers in the side with the potential to turn the game on its head.
BAN Recent Form
Bangladesh now have three wins in their last five one-day internationals. After going down to Afghanistan and India in back-to-back matches, they bounced back to edge out Afghanistan by three runs in their last match and keep their hopes of reaching the final alive. They put up an ordinary batting performance against India but came up with a much better performance against Afghanistan.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Liton Das, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Shakib Al Hasan, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah, Mashrafe Mortaza (c), Mehidy Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Nazmul Islam
