OTG vs AUK T20 Prediction & Betting Tips, Super Smash 2020
Playing their first game of the tournament, Otago will look to get a winning start to Super Smash 2020 as they host Auckland at the Molineux Park, Alexandra. The match will be played on 28th December and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM local time.
After being knocked out in the eliminator of the last season, Otago will be determined to get their hands on their third Super Smash title. They definitely have the team to do that.
Neil Broom, Hamish Rutherfort, Nick Kelly, Mitch Renwick and Dale Phillips forms a pretty formidable batting line up. Jocob Duffy, Anaru Kitchen, Josh Finnie, Michael Rippon, Mitchell McClenaghan are terrific bowling options but they can be very handy with the bat too which adds a lot of depth to their team.
Auckland on the other hand are coming back from a loss in their previous game but they’ll be happy seeing the way their batsmen performed against Wellington.
Graeme Beghin, Sean Solia, William O Donnell, Robert ODonnell, all batted pretty well in the last game and can be backed to come good in the next match as well. The return of Glenn Phillips will further boost Auckland’s batting.
The bowling however, need some improvement. William Somerville, Robert ODonnell and Olly Pringle were the pick of the bowlers in the last match. Ben Lister and Danru Fens were pretty expensive though. Ben Lister is Auckland’s main bowler thus he needs to be at the top of his game against Otago.
Overall, both teams have a pretty solid side on paper but we see Otago as a better balanced side with plenty of all rounders in their team. We expect Otago to prevail in this match.
