New Zealand Women vs South Africa Women 4th T20 Match Prediction
The second of back-to-back matches in Wellington sees New Zealand take on South Africa again at Basin Reserve. The fourth match of their five-game T20i series takes place on February 10 and the live action is scheduled to start at 14:00 local time.
New Zealand were in dominant form in the first two matches, restring South Africa to 116/7 and 119 before Sophie Devine led the chase with half-centuries on both occasions. Devine then hit 77 from 57 balls last time out, in a total of 153/5, but New Zealand were unable to defend it.
Against a changed New Zealand team, which included two T20i debutants, South Africa reached 154 for the loss of five wickets with just one ball to spare. New Zealand remain favourites to wrap up this series, however.

NZ Women Team News & Playing 11
NZW Team News
New Zealand may feel they made too many changes last time out, as Leigh Kasperek, Lauren Perkins, Hayley Jensen and Rosemary Mair all made way. Lauren Down and Jess Kerr made their T20i debuts and Anna Peterson and Holly Huddleston also came in to the team. Down and Kerr could be given another opportunity to prove their worth, but Kasperek may return to the team to bolster the bowling attack.
NZW Key Players
Sophie Devine: The all-rounder, opener and captain just can not stop scoring runs in T20 cricket. She has hit 54*, 61 and 77 in her three innings in this series and taken three wickets too.
Suzie Bates: Showed a few signs of returning to her best form until she was run out last time out, hitting 23 from 18 balls. If she clicks back into top gear, New Zealand’s top order could be unstoppable.
Amelia Kerr: The teenage leg-spinner moved to four wickets in the series and maintained her excellent economy rate as she took 1-17 last time out, also playing alongside sister Jess in a T20 international for the first time.
NZW Team Form
New Zealand’s defeat in the third WT20i of this series ended their winning streak in the format, having whitewashed India and started this series with two dominant wins too. Sophie Devine’s batting form continued, as she hit her third consecutive half-century, but a much-changed bowling attack could not prevent a five-wicket defeat with one ball to spare.

SAW Team News
Marizanne Kapp returned from injury last time out, replacing Nadine de Klerk, but the latter could return this time with Tumi Sekhukhune yet to really make her mark.
SAW Key Players
Mignon du Preez: Scores of 20, 46 and 23 so far have not particularly stood out, but she remains an integral part of the South African batting line-up and can slot in anywhere in the top and middle order.
Dane van Niekerk: Bowled tidily to record figures of 0-26 last time out and then led the innings with a patient 42 from 40 balls, holding an end in a well-timed run chase.
Chloe Tryon: Reiterated the danger she poses down the order with the bat, hitting a six in each of the final three overs to get South Africa over the line in the chase.
SAW Team Form
South Africa ensured the series stays live as they responded to two poor batting performances with a much better all-round effort last time out. Chasing 154 to win, after Ayabonga Khaka took 2-14 from three overs, Dane van Niekerk scored 42 and Chloe Tryon’s late hitting helped her to 34* from 16 balls and South Africa to a five-wicket win with a ball to spare.

NZ Women vs SA Women Head to Head
The third match of this series was the tenth in T20i cricket between these two nations and just the second South African win. Sophie Devine’s fine form in this fixture continued as she scored her fifth consecutive half-century for New Zealand against South Africa in T20 internationals. But Dane van Niekerk and Chloe Tryon combined in a well-timed chase of 154 as South Africa won by five wickets with a ball to spare.
