Openers, Adam Lyth and Kennar Lewis, both underperformed on Thursday with both dismissed for a single figure score. The Northern Warriors’ bowlers could only take four wickets against Delhi Bulls and it was their pace bowlers who got the dismissals. We expect the quick bowlers to again be dangerous in this match with Mohammad Irfan particularly hard to get away with his size contributing to excessive bounce from the pitch.

Deccan Gladiators

It was an excellent start for Nicholas Pooran’s side with a 35 run victory over Team Abu Dhabi in Match 2 on Wednesday. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Gladiators posted 134-6 before reducing TAD to 99-6. They will be confident of making it two wins from two in this match.

DG Batting

There was no doubt who the star of the show was on Wednesday after skipper Nicholas Pooran struck eight sixes and five fours on his way to an unbeaten 77 from 33 balls. His fellow countryman, Odean Smith, made 23 with opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore the other player to hit a six for the Gladiators.

DG Bowling

The Gladiators bowling attack did well in their opening match in spite of Sultan Ahmed conceding 28 runs from two overs and David Wiese conceding 18 runs from his only over. Josh Little, Zahoor Khan, Tabraiz Shamsi and Tom Helm took wickets but don’t rule out Ahmed or Wiese bouncing back in this match.

Deccan Gladiators have won their last four games in the Abu Dhabi T10.
