So even after three completed games, Northern Knights are yet to open their account in the Super Smash 2020-21. They delivered another mediocre batting performance a went down to Otago by 2 wickets in their last game.
Knight’s batting has been the culprit for their miserable performance. Tim Seifert scored a brilliant 74 in the last match yet, Knights could only manage a score of 153 - Not acceptable at all.
There were lot of expectations from Anton Devcich, Katene Clark, Dean Brownlie but all of them have been pretty disappointing.
The bowling however should be credited for stretching the match till the last over. Zak Gibson was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-17 in 4 overs. H got good support from Joe Walker, Matthew Fisher and Brett Hampton. Scott Kuggeleijn was once again very expensive.
Central Stags on the other have really turned on the heat in the last two games and picked up two big wins over Northern Knights and Auckland.
Their batting is really looking good with two 200+ scores in the last two matches. George Worker, Josh Clarkson, Doug Bracewell and Dane Clever have batted brilliantly.

Wicket Keeper
Tim Seifert at 9.0 is a great option. He’s knocks of 45 and 74 in the last two innings and is brilliant player to have in your team.
Batsmen
Ketene Clarke at 9.0, Dean Brownlie and Christian Leopard are good picks from this section. To be fair, the batting looks weak but then these are the best options available. All these players are good players and we’ll hope that they perform well in the next game
All rounder
George Worker at 10, Josh Clarkson at 9.5, Doug Bracewell at 9.5 and Anton Devcich at 9.5 will form the core of our team. George Worker has 2 70+ scores in the last two match while Clarkson scores a brilliant 78 in the last match. Devcich scored a hundred in the first match and can be very dangerous on his day while Doug Bracewell is a handy all rounder to have. He’s been decent both with the bat and ball.
Bowlers
Blair Tickner at 9.0, Matthew Fisher at 8.5 and Za Gibson at 8.5 will complete our team. Blair Tickner has been wonderful in the last few games while Zak Gibson picked up a 3-fer in the last game. Matthew Fisher has also been decent.
