NZ vs PAK 3rd T20 Prediction & Betting Tips
Pakistan received a drubbing from the hosts in the second T-20 and will go in this match to salvage their lost pride. Will they be able to avoid a humiliating clean sweep? Read on our preview for New Zealand Vs Pakistan 3rd T-20 which takes place at McLean Park Napier and scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time.
Pakistan is no mug when it comes to T-20 cricket but the way they've went about their business in this series has been really disappointing. Any adherent cricket fan would have wanted Pakistan to show some spine against New Zealand but it seems without Babar Azam, this team doesn't have the skills to win against big teams.
With 2-0 down, it's absolutely must for Pakistan to put up a stiff fight in the third T-20 as a 3-0 clean sweep is not something you'd want to see before a big Test series against the same opposition.
We've always talked about Pakistan batting, how talented they're but when it comes to converting their talent into performance, they fail to do that. Same has been the case in this series. Definitely, the loss of Babar Azam is a big blow but if you're dependent on a single player to win you the matches, you've already lost the competition.
Their batting has been poor in both the T-20Is and if it stays the same in the next match as well, there's no way they'd be able to stop this New Zealand juggernaut.
A lot depends on Mohammed Hafeez, how he plays in the next game. Pakistan need another big inning from their main batemen. Other players like Mohammed Rizwan, Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah need to prove their credentials with the bat as well. A top ranked team should not surrender like that.
The bowling has been decent but again, they never had enough runs to go all out at New Zealand. Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Wahab Riaz are terrific bowlers. Only if their batsmen can show some resistance, they can be very hard to beat.
For New Zealand, they've been simply outstanding. They played their B team in the first match and emerged victorious, they got their big guns back for the second T-20I and thrashed Pakistan. They're on a roll at the moment and will be very hard to beat for Pakistan.
Tim Seifert has been scintillating in the two matches. Kane Williamson marked his return to cricket with a brisk 50. Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips have already shown their skills. With quality all-rounders like Jimmy Neesham and Scott Kuggeleijn, they bat deep as well.
In the bowling department they dropped Jacob Duffy, a man who picked 4 wickets in the first match which proves that they've a very solid bench strength. Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, all are among the top bowlers going around in world cricket.
Overall, New Zealand look very strong when compared to this Pakistan team and are massive favourites to win the match. Pakistan's only chance is if they can bat well but against New Zealand's attack, this doesn't look very promising either.

NZ vs PAK Toss Prediction
Toss can't be predicted but for Pakistan, they've lost both the matches they've batted first. However, we still think they should opt to bat first if they win the toss. They've a decent attack and if they can put runs on the board, they'll test New Zealand
Weather Report
There is some rain predicted later in the day but it shouldn't affect the match.
Pitch Report
Napier is a high scoring ground and pitches are heavily in favour of the batsmen. However, bowlers, if they bowl in right areas might get something out of it.

New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ Team News
From New Zealand's perspective we don't see much change in the their playing XI apart from Todd Astle getting a game in place of Ish Sodhi. Daryl Mitchell might also find a place as New Zealand have already won the series but Kane Williamson doesn't like to change much in the team combination so it's very unlikely.
NZ Key Players
- Kane Williamson - The skipper made his return to international cricket with a brisk 50. His last inning before this match was a 251 against West Indies in a Test match. No matter what the format is, Williamson is in middle of a dream run and can be backed to continue the same.
- Tim Seifert – Two matches, two fifties, Seifert is having a great series with the bat. Looking at his form, we have every reason to believe that he'll come good in the next match as well.
- Tim Southee - Southee in these conditions is a very capable bowler and his figures if 4-21 in the last match prove that. He'll be difficult to tackle for Pakistan
NZ Team Form
New Zealand have now won two back to back T-20 series against West Indies and Pakistan respectively. They're on a 4 match winning streak

Pakistan Team News & Playing 11
PAK Team News
Pakistan look shattered at the moment. Trailing 2-0, we expect them to make plenty of changes for the next match. Players like Hussain Talat, Iftikhar Ahmed, Usman Qadir and Mohammed Musa might make a cut in to the team
PAK Key Players
- Mohammed Hafeez - A brilliant 99 in the second T-20 proves that Hafeez is far from over. He's the senior pro in the team and will be vary of his responsibilities. We expect him to play another decent knock.
- Mohammed Rizwan - Mohammed Rizwan has got two starts but have failed to convert them into a big score, something he would like to rectify in the next match.
- Shadab Khan - He's quality all rounder. He showed his skills with the bat in the first match and is one of the best leg spinners going around. He'll have to play a big role for Pakistan in the next match.
PAK Team Form
Pakistan is a decent T-20 team. However, they look weak without Babar Azam. They tied the series with England and picked up a 3-0 win over Zimbabwe. Their New Zealand tour hasn't started on a great note as they've lost the first two T-20Is badly.
Pakistan Predicted Playing 11

🏆 New Zealand vs Pakistan Prediction
New Zealand currently is in middle of a dream run. They were always favourites for the series but the way they've thrashed West Indies and then Pakistan is commendable. They have a very strong batting and their bowling is second to none. Looking at Pakistan, without Babar they doesn't seem to be strong enough to challenge New Zealand. They need to put big runs on the board to compete with the hosts but against New Zealand's quality attack, that won't be easy.
