NZ vs PAK 1st T20 Prediction & Betting Tips
After scrapping Pakistan of their 5 match winning streak against themselves, New Zealand will look to take an unassailable 2-0 lead when they take on Pakistan in the second T-20I. The match will be played on the Seddon Park, Hamilton and scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM local time.
There’s a reason Pakistan is the most unpredictable team among all nations. They might not win every match but they’ll definitely bring a charm to the game. They lost the first T-20, as we predicted, but there were plenty of positives for them to take from the match. From 39-5 to post 153, and to make hang in the match till the last over, Pakistan showed tremendous amount of fighting spirit. However, there is plenty to rectify if they want to make a comeback in the series.
New Zealand was playing with their B team yet they managed to beat Pakistan which is commendable. Their batting wasn’t up to the mark but with Williamson back for the second T-20I, they look a much more stable batting unit.
Tim Seifert, Glen Phillips, Mark Chapman batted well in the first game and form a strong middle order while Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham provide enough depth to the team.
In the bowling department, Jacob Duffy was outstanding along with Scott Kuggeleijn. Also, Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson are available for the next match which makes their bowling look even stronger.
For Pakistan, without Babar Azam, they look a very vulnerable batting line up. Apart from Shadab Khan, none of their batsmen looked settled in the first T-20. Against a quality bowling line up, things won’t be easy in the second game as well.
One thing they could do is to promote Mohammed Hafeez to no 3. He’s a batsmen that can anchor the innings and prevent a batting collapse. Other players like Mohammed Rizwan, Haider Ali and Khushdil Shah batted well against against Zimbabwe and they’ll need to put their hands up in these challenging conditions.
The bowling as always was decent for Pakistan with Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf performing really well. Other bowlers were good too but their were not enough runs to play with. They’ll hope that their batsmen can perform better so that they can have a real go at New Zealand.
Overall, even though Pakistan have some good payers, they look way behind New Zealand and have a mammoth task on their hands

NZ vs PAK Toss Prediction
Toss will be very crucial, for Pakistan even more. Their batting is an issue and chasing will be difficult. So they need to put runs on the board
Weather Report
There will be scattered clouds on the match day but the chances of match getting interrupter by rain are pretty low.
Pitch Report
The match will be played at the Seddon Park, Hamilton. Mitchell Santner mentioned at the post match presentation of the 1st T-20I that Hamilton is a wicket that offers some turn to the spinners and we have every reason to believe him. It’s a wicket that’s very good for batting but bowlers are not completely out of it. It has something for the pacers and well as the spinners. Also, it’s not as small as Auckland so the bowlers will have something behind them

New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ Team News
Doug Bracewell and Blair Tickner were only available for the 1st T-20 so they’ll not be in contention for the selection in the next match. The good news for New Zealand is that their big guns like Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson and Trent Boult has been named in the squad for the second T-20. With their bowlers doing a reasonable job, we think one of Trent Boult or Kyle Jamieson might replace Blair Tickner. Williamson for sure will be back in place of Mark Chapman or maybe Martin Guptill. Mitch Santner will also not be playing.
NZ Key Players
- Kane Williamson - Kane Williamson is available for selection in the second T-20. He’s one of the best batsmen going around and will be eager to start off well.
- Glen Phillips – Glen Phillip played a brief knock of 23 in the first match but he’s been in some good form of late. We expect him to perform better in the next match.
- Scott Kuggeleijn - Scott Kiggeleijn is a brilliant bowler in this format of the game. He doesn’t have much pace but bowls with great accuracy. He’ll be very difficult to handle for Pakistan.
NZ Team Form
New Zealand defeated West Indies in their last series and have started off well against Pakistan. New players like Devon Convey and Glenn Phillips have been in decent touch. Jacob Duffy also showed his class in the 1st match.

PAK Team News
Without Babar Azam, their batting will be under tremendous pressure. They could ask Mohammed Hafeez to bat at No 3 to provide stability at the top. They can also bring in Ifthikar Ahmed in place of Imad Wasim to strengthen their batting.
PAK Key Players
- Mohammed Hafeez - Hafeez is the most experience Pakistan batsmen and will have to step up to the occasion. In the absence of Babar, Pakistan heavily relies on him to get a big score.
- Mohammed Rizwan - Mohammed Rizwan couldn’t make an impact in the first match but he’s been in good form of late and can be backed to come good in the second T-20.
- Shadab Khan - Shadab Khan is a very handy all rounder. He got some crucial runs for his team in the first match and will hope to replicate his performance. Also, Hamilton will offer some spin so he’ll be very dangerous with the ball too.
PAK Team Form
Pakistan has been in good form but they were beaten badly by New Zealand in the first game. The road ahead is not easy at all. Players like Khushdil Shah, Mohammed Rizwan are in good form but New Zealand will pose a different challenge all together.

Abdullah Shafique, Haider Ali, Mohammed Hafeez, Khushdil Shah, Mohammed Rizwan(WK), Faheem Ashraf, Ifthikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan(c), Shaheen Shah Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf,

🏆 New Zealand vs Pakistan Prediction
With their big guns back, New Zealand look an even stronger team now. A solid batting backed by a venomous bowling, Pakistan look to be in deep trouble. However, in this format of the game, you can never count out Pakistan. The match looks promising for a epic encounter but New Zealand are way ahead at the moment.
