NZ vs BAN 3rd T20 Prediction & Betting Tips
New Zealand goes into the final game of their summer looking to make it six victories out of six against Bangladesh and take the T20I series 3-0. In Tuesday’s game, New Zealand won by 28 runs (DLS Method) in a rain-affected game in Napier. Read on as we preview the third T20I between New Zealand and Bangladesh. The match will be played at Eden Park, Auckland and will get underway at 19:00 local time.
Bangladesh have now played New Zealand in 31 games across Tests, ODIs and T20Is in New Zealand. They have lost every game, a run which stretches back to a Test Match in Hamilton, December 2001. Apart from Somya Sarkar’s impressive innings in Tuesday’s game, there have been very few moments on this tour where it has looked like this run may be coming to an end.
For New Zealand, they continue to flourish in spite of the absence of big names such as Kane Wiliamson, Trent Boult, Ross Taylor and Kyle Jamieson. The performances from the likes of Will Young, Devon Conway, Mark Chapman and Glenn Philips have shown that New Zealand have a good amount of strength in depth.

NZ vs BAN Toss Prediction
Each side has won a toss apiece so far in this series with New Zealand batting first on each occasion. If Mahmudullah calls correctly he may be tempted to see whether asking the Black Caps to chase will result in a stronger performance from his team.
Pitch Report
The most recent T20I at Eden Park in December saw New Zealand post 156-5 (18.5) in reply to Pakistan’s 153-9. We expect to see a pitch conducive to similar scores this time around.

New Zealand Team News & Playing 11
NZ Team News
The Black Caps made a solitary change ahead of the second T20I, replacing Lockie Ferguson with Adam Milne who picked up 2-34 on his international return. Todd Astle is the only player in the New Zealand squad yet to play in the series.
NZ Key Players
- Martin Guptill - As well as getting the team off to a flying start, Guptill has a crucial role to play as the experienced opener alongside rookie Finn Allen. With the bat, Guptill has shown his worth with quick-fire hits of 21 and 35 so far.
- Devon Conway - In spite of being uncapped at international level before this New Zealand summer, Conway has taken to cricket at this level in a manner reminiscent of his fellow-countryman Kyle Jamieson in Tests. The Bangladesh bowlers will be pleased to know this will be the final time they will be bowling to him in the series.
- Tim Southee - New Zealand’s captain provides knowledge, skills and experience with the ball. Bangladesh had no answer to his variations in the second T20I which prevented them from getting after his bowling. No mug with the bat, Southee hasn’t been called upon to show off his six hitting as yet.
NZ Team Form
New Zealand continue to beat all comers across formats at home. This home summer alone, they have won seven series out of seven.
New Zealand Predicted Playing 11
Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Devon Conway (wk), Will Young, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Tim Southee (c) , Ish Sodhi, Hamish Bennett, Adam Milne

BAN Team News
It’s been a miserable tour for the Bangladesh players who may be hoping that the thunderstorms prevail on Thursday evening. Taskin Ahmed returned to the side on Tuesday in place of Mustafizur Rahman, he impressed and should keep his place for this final game.
BAN Key Players
- Mohammad Naim - opening the innings with Liton Das, Naim has impressed in both T20Is so far with scores of 27 and 38. At only 21 years of age and with an average of 35.50 from eight T20Is, he looks like he will be around for many years to come.
- Soumya Sarkar - the all-rounder impressed with his batting in Napier where he struck his joint second highest score in this format. He cleared the boundary on three occasions and Bangladesh will need more of the same if they are to be competitive in Auckland.
- Mahmudullah - Bangladesh’s captain in T20Is needs to stay around at the crease for longer in the final game. In both of the matches so far he has scored at an impressive strike rate (122.22 and 175) but has only produced 32 runs in total.
BAN Team Form
The Tigers have lost six of their last eight games in this format with both wins coming against Zimbabwe in early 2020. In New Zealand, they have only ever experienced defeats and it will take a monumental shift to change this.
Bangladesh Predicted Playing 11
Liton Das (wk), Mohammad Naim, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah (c) , Afif Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed

🏆 New Zealand vs Bangladesh Prediction
Bangladesh pushed New Zealand harder in the second T20I in Napier but it certainly felt like New Zealand had another couple of gears to go up if required. We hope that the Tigers will one day experience a victory over the Black Caps in New Zealand but we do not expect this game to be the one where they break their duck.
