The home side last played this format in the World Cup Qualifier B in Zimbabwe last month where they reached the final. The Netherlands will be excited to face New Zealand in this game. It is their first IT20 at home since August 2019 and will give them a good measuring stick of their progress with only two months until the T20 World Cup.
New Zealand have not gone easy on either Ireland or Scotland in recent series and we expect them to play hard in this game also. They have plenty of firepower and depth across all positions.

Due to this series taking place at the same time as The Hundred, the Netherlands are without Fred Klaasen who is playing for Manchester Originals and Brandon Glover who is with the Oval Invincibles. Although the bowling attack is weakened without the two pace bowlers, the hosts' strongest suit is their batting.
Netherlands come into this game after a strong showing in the competition in Zimbabwe. However, they are not at full strength in the bowling department for this game.

Netherlands impressed in the T20 World Cup Qualifier B, winning four games before losing in the final to Zimbabwe. However, the bookies fancy New Zealand to be way too strong for them.
New Zealand have made easy work of the likes of Ireland and Scotland in IT20 cricket over recent weeks and we expect them to also be a couple of levels above the Netherlands.
