The Chennai Braves

The Braves are in sixth place in the competition after losing their opening game to New York Strikers but bouncing back with an impressive 33 run win over Bangla Tigers on Friday in Match 8. A win in this fixture would see Braves go level on points with the teams at the top of the table.

TCB Batting

There were impressive batting displays from Dawid Malan (27 runs from 15 balls) and Michael Pepper (13 runs from 5 balls) in the win over Bangla Tigers but captain Carlos Brathwaite brought back memories of his 2016 T20 World Cup Final performance with 44 not out from 19 balls. Overall, the batting line-up looks to be in good form.

TCB Bowling

All of Chennai Braves’ bowling attack have impressed at some stage in the tournament but it was the experienced pair of Sikandar Raza (1-13) and Carlos Brathwaite (4-3) who caught the eye in the last game. James Fuller went wicketless on Friday but took 3-15 in Thursday’s game and will be dangerous in this fixture.
