Melbourne Renegades pulled off a big upset, defeating the inform Sydney Thunder to open their account in the points table. Even after the win, their problems remain the same. Renegades need its big players to step up. Amy Sattherthwaite, Georgia Wareham and Courtney Webb need to start performing before it’s too late.In the bowling department, Sophie Molineux and Rosemary Mair bowled well and got good support from Molly Strano and Georgia Wareham. Their bowling is doing fine, just their batsmen need to put their hand up.
Adelaide Strikers on the other hand were very impressive against Brisbane Heat. For them, Katie Mack and Laura Wolvaardt played brilliantly and will be hoping for another stellar show with the bat. Strikers would also want their middle order to start scoring runs as the tournament is almost half done and from now, every match stands of utmost importance. In the bowling department, Adelaide has one of the best bowling line ups in Megan Schutt, Tahila McGrath and Sarah Coyte. Overall, both teams are pretty similar on paper but Adelaide has a better performing team and are favourites to win the match.
