Malaysia's performance with the bat is going to depend mainly on how their top-order batsmen in Shafiq Sharif, Syed Aziz and Ahmed Faiz fare on Saturday. Syed Aziz has scored the most runs for the team in the 20-over format - 156 runs in four matches which includes a couple of half-centuries. Opening batsman Shafiq Sharif has been in fine form and has scores of 53, 31 and 43 in his last three innings. Malaysia will turn to Muhamad Syahadat, Nazril Rahman and Fitri Sham when it comes to bowling. Syahadat has taken five wickets in his four T20I outings and the off-spinner could make an impact right after the powerplay. Nazril Rahman will be backed by the team to strike early with the new ball while Fitri Sham will be the one to watch out for in the middle overs.

Apart from Sompal, the visitors will look to Sandeep Lamichhane and KC Karan to deliver the goods with the ball. Lamichhane could open the bowling and the leg-spinner will be expected to apply pressure on the Malaysian batsmen with a few tight overs.
