Northamptonshire Steelbacks have lost their last three matches in the T20 Blast and have fallen down from the top of the North Group. Ahead of this clash, they are down in fifth place but are only two points from first spot and are still in touch with the leaders. They have been beaten by Derbyshire Falcons, Birmingham Bears and Yorkshire Vikings in their last three games with the defeat to the Vikings by 62 runs last Friday. The top three, who have all had strong campaigns, could only contribute 18 runs and the Steelbacks total of 128 all out never looked like overhauling Yorkshire’s 190-7.
