With the ball Richard Gleeson kept up his recent strong form and dismissed Ben Duckett and Samit Patel to finish with figures of 2-11. 

Derbyshire Falcons have been very impressive in their three matches so far in the competition. They were narrowly beaten, by 3 runs, against Birmingham Bears last Friday but have since bounced back with a 70 run victory over Leicestershire Foxes and a 9 wicket win over Yorkshire Falcons in a rain reduced game on Tuesday evening. Australian Hayden Kerr continued his good form with 2-18 against Yorkshire before skipper Shan Massood got his team home with 32 not out at the top of the order.
