The second day of the 2021 Pakistan Super League starts with Lahore Qalandars taking on Peshawar Zalmi at Karachi’s National Stadium. The match, on February 21, sees last year’s runners-up take on the team who finished fourth, and the live action starts at 14:00 local time.
Lahore Qalandars have added Rashid Khan to the team which finished second last season, joining the likes of Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi in a strong bowling attack. Sohail Akhtar leads the team, which boasts the experience of the likes of Mohammad Hafeez up the order too.

Dilbar Hussain had initially taken 3-33 to limit Peshawar Zalmi to 170/9, before Hafeez hammered 74* from 46 balls in a five-wicket win with an over to spare.

Lahore Qalandars boasted several of the top batsmen in the Pakistan Super League last season. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez are among the favourites to be their top team batsman in this game, while Joe Denly is another option up the order and captain Sohail Akhtar is an interesting outsider.

Wicket Keeper
Kamran Akmal is the most expensive of the three wicket-keeping picks behind the stumps but he will be keen to start the tournament by making a batting impact. That said, Ben Dunk could prove the better pick as it frees up funds for elsewhere.
Batsmen
Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq will want to prove their batting form to the Pakistan selectors ahead of the T20 World Cup and this is a great opportunity to do that. Both are worth selecting with the bat for their respective teams, while big-hitting Tom Kohler-Cadmore could prove a good pick at just 8.5 credits after his late addition to the Zalmi squad.
