Kolkata Knight Riders have begun their IPL campaign in style with a comprehensive nine-wicket win over the Delhi Daredevils on Sunday. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, had suffered a defeat by the same margin to Rising Pune Supergiants in their opening game on Saturday. The two high-profile teams will now lock horns on April 13 in what has been deemed as the clash of the titans. The 5th match of the Indian Premier League will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the marquee event will commence at 8 PM local time.

They played like champions against the Delhi Daredevils and excelled with both the bat and ball. After winning the toss and electing to field, the KKR bowlers knocked the opposition out for a paltry 98. Andre Russell was the star of the show as the pacer picked up three top-order wickets in three overs. His outstanding spell of bowling earned him the 'Man of the Match' in addition to high betting odds for Wednesday's game. Aussie spinner Brad Hogg was also impressive with his three wickets in four overs and is expected to deliver a similar performance against MI.

MI's best bet for their match against the KKR will be Jasprit Bumrah. The pacer's impressive death bowling and the ability to strike early makes him a bowler worth betting on.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians are both two-time IPL champions and there are plenty of talented T20 players in either side. With the two teams evenly matched, Wednesday's game could go down to the wire. KKR with a convincing victory in their first match will be high on confidence while MI will have to address certain issues following their humiliating defeat. However, the Knight Riders will be wary of the fact that the Mumbai Indians went on to lift the trophy last year despite losing their first five games in a row. Also, the two teams have faced each other in 16 games with MI the winner on 11 occasions.
So this is going to be a battle where it gets hard to predict a winner. But considering the recent form and results as well as the home advantage, it won't be wrong to say that the Kolkata Knight Riders will have their nose marginally ahead of the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday.
