Kitwe Kings are favourites to win
Day two of the Zambia Cricket League T10 tournament starts with Kitwe Kings taking on Kabwe Stars. The match takes place on July 5 at the Lotus Sports Club Ground, Lusaka, and the match gets underway at 08:30 local time.
Kitwe Kings won their opening game on day one, with Joyeb Chand batting well and picking up a wicket as they hit 99/5 and beat Lusaka Heats by six runs. They could not back it up against Ndola Blitz, however – a score of 86/6 not enough to stop a four-wicket defeat.
Kabwe Stars lost both matches, however – their game against Ndola Blitz was a low-scoring one after they hit just 64/6 and lost by eight wickets. Next up, they were set 114 to beat Lusaka Heats but, hampered by Isaac Mwaba having to retire hurt on 41 from 19 balls.

Kitwe Kings batted first in both matches, and they may do the same again
Lusaka is set to be sunny with only mid-level temperatures, but there is zero chance of rain.
The pitch looks difficult for batting, though a couple of high scores suggest the bowlers will not have it all their own way.

Sanjay Patel did not play the second match, with Bharat Kara replacing him, and the latter’s bowling performance should be enough to earn another go.

Isaac Mwaba will need to be checked after retiring hurt in the most recent game – the defeat to Lusaka Heats. His absence would be a big blow considering how well he was batting that game.
Isaac Mwaba: Kabwe Stars will hope he is fit to play, given he had hit 41 from 19 balls before retiring hurt against Lusaka Heats.
Gladson Kandela: The Zambian international took a wicket in each of the two matches played so far, returning economical figures overall too.
Ashraf Lulat: A bright but brief innings last time out suggests Kabwe have the firepower to turn around their losing form.
