Kent vs Sussex Preview & Prediction

The opening partnership between Luke Wright and Chris Nash is going to be crucial for them. Both have been amongst the runs this season and Sussex should be in a good position if they get going. Ross Taylor is having a good tournament with three fifties already and he should be backed to top-score for his team. So their batting will depend mainly on these three.

Sussex could open their bowling with Ajmal Shahzad and Tymal Mills. Shahzad, with seven wickets, is the leading wicket-taker for his side and the pacer is likely to finish with the best bowling figures on Wednesday. David Wiese has taken six wickets so far and he can also cause a few problems for Kent.

Our Prediction

Kent and Sussex have gone head-to-head five times in the Natwest T20 Blast tournament with the former leading 3-2. At Canterbury, both have a win each in the two games, with Sussex winning back in 2014 and Kent winning last year in 2015. However, Sussex are performing better this year and are much ahead on the points table as compared to Kent who will be coming into this match with three consecutive defeats.

Although Kent have fared better than Sussex in the past, the latter have beaten them once this year and we're backing them to win again on Wednesday.
