The result was built upon an excellent team bowling performance. Of the seven bowlers used, only 18-year old Mohammad Aadil Alam went for over 8.25 runs per over. The most penetrative with the ball were Sompal Kami, who took 3-22 from his four overs, and skipper Sandeep Lamichhane who finished with 2-33 from four overs. With the bat, middle order big hitters, Dipendra Singh Airee and Aarif Sheikh, both contributed with a strike-rate of over 137 after their top four batters had struggled to get ahead of the rate.
