Karachi Kings Team News & Playing 11
KRK Team News
Karachi Kings retained the core of their star players from last season, with Colin Munro, Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam, Colin Ingram, Imad Wasim and Usman Shinwari all committing to another year. New additions include big-hitting Englishman Liam Livingstone, while paceman Sohail Khan returns after representing the Kings in 2016 and 2017.
KRK Key Players
Karachi Kings had a clear pre-draft plan of retaining their platinum and diamond players from last season and it is easy to see why. Babar Azam scored 402 runs in last year’s competition, including five half-centuries, while Colin Munro has been a big-hitting success across the globe.
Usman Shinwari took 16 wickets in nine matches last season, meanwhile, and was in good form in the BBL this season before taking five wickets in the ODIs against South Africa and 3-31 in the first T20.
Colin Ingram's experience will also be key for PSL 2019 season. He arrives fresh from the BBL, where he put in several key knocks for the Adelaide Strikers. Ingram now has 35 T20 half-centuries to his name and three 100s.
Of the new additions, Liam Livingstone captained Lancashire to the semi-finals of last season’s T20 Blast in England, and boasts a strike rate of 145.47 in T20 cricket. Sohail Khan was in good bowling form in the National T20 Cup in December, meanwhile.
KRK Team Form
Karachi Kings finished second in last season’s Pakistan Super League table but lost both play-off matches as they misses out on the final. They lost by eight wickets in just 12.3 overs despite posting 154/4 in the first qualifier against Islamabad United and Joe Denly’s unbeaten 79 was not enough in a 13-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi, replying to 170/7 in a rain-reduced 16 overs match.

Multan Sultans Team News & Playing 11
MS Team News
After finishing last season’s tournament with a bad losing streak, Multan Sultans have made several big changes for this year’s tournament. Steve Smith, Joe Denly and Nicholas Pooran have all had to withdraw from selection, but James Vince (who is currently at the Big Bash), Johnson Charles, Shahid Afridi and Andre Russell are among the big-hitting new additions.
MS Key Players
Multan Sultans have one of the most experienced squads in the tournament, led by 37-year-old captain Shoaib Malik and 38-year-old Pakistani icon Shahid Afridi. Malik joins fresh from the Pakistan limited-overs squad, while “Boom Boom” Afridi was one of Comilla Victorians’ stars in the Bangladesh Premier League.Johnson Charles is a useful addition after scoring 55, 12 and 39 in his three BPL innings for Rajshahi Kings last month, while fellow West Indian Andre Russell was one of Dhaka Dynamites’ all-round stars in the tournament – facing Afridi in the final.
Big-hitting Englishman Laurie Evans scored a century in that tournament, meanwhile, and Junaid Khan took 11 wickets. Mohammad Abbas is better known for his first-class bowling, however.
MS Team Form
Multan Sultans lost their last four matches in last season’s Pakistan Super League, dropping from top of the table to fifth as a result and consequently missing out on a play-off place. They had previously lost just one of their first six matches.
