Jamaica vs Barbados Preview & Prediction

At the top of the order, it is going to be Ahmed Shehzad and Shoaib Malik while Pooran and Pollard will be the ones in the middle order. AB de Villiers will not be available for the rest of the season and Shehzad will be expected to make up for this loss. Pollard is a dangerous batsmen in T20 format and the visitors will want him to be at his explosive best tonight.

In the absence of Wayne Parnell, Barbados Tridents will turn to Ravi Rampaul whenever partnerships are required to be broken. The seamer has consistently picked up wickets and the Tallawahs could find themselves in trouble if he takes wickets early on. Shoaib Malik can also be quite a handy bowler on this surface with his off-breaks and he will look to dry up the runs.

Our Prediction

Both the teams are heading into this match with wins in their previous matches. Both have three wins each in the six completed fixtures between them in the past. The Tallawahs have two wins in the three face-offs at the Sabina Park while the Tridents have wins in the last three games against the Tallawahs. However, the absence of key players in de Villiers and Parnell from the Tridents makes the home team appear stronger on paper.

Though Barbados Tridents still have a lot of firepower despite losing the in-form de Villiers and Parnell, we feel that Jamaica Tallawahs on account of their superior performance this year should be the favorites to win tonight’s fixture.
