Misbah-ul-Haq, who was rested for the final league-stage game against Karachi Kings, was back in action for the Qualifier against Quetta Gladiators. The veteran batsman replaced all-rounder Umar Amin in the playing eleven and he will most probably be retained for this upcoming Eliminator match against Islamabad United. Peshawar Zalmi, despite losing their last match to the Gladiators, are expected to come up with an unchanged line-up.

Kamran Akmal and Imam-ul-Haq have hit two and three half-centuries respectively this PSL season and this opening pair could take Peshawar off to a flying start. Kieron Pollard also has a couple of fifties under his belt and he is having an impressive strike-rate of 183.20. The West Indian big-hitter looked dangerous in his knock of 44 in the Qualifier against Quetta Gladiators and the team will be expecting a few fireworks from him on Friday night. Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz have had a brilliant tournament and these two are the main threats in Peshawar's bowling line-up. The former is leading the wickets charts with 22 wickets which includes three four-fers while the latter has 15 to his name. Tymal Mills is another one to watch out for. The fast bowler has picked six wickets already in three games and that too an acceptable economy of 6.81.

Peshawar Zalmi topped the PSL 2019 standings with seven wins and three losses from their ten league matches. They have shown remarkable consistency this season and have repeatedly put up impressive performances with both bat and ball. They beat Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings in their last two league-stage fixtures before going down to Quetta Gladiators by 10 runs in the Qualifier. Peshawar would not have been too pleased with their bowling effort in the last game as they could not prevent Quetta from posting a big total.
